However, I called and spoke with someone on the 9th, 11 days before commenting through this app. He asked what I had to move, did it have stairs and where was I moving from and to where and also asked what date I needed you for. I told him the date that I had to be out by was the 30th and I could be flexible as long as it was by the 30th. He informed me that someone would be contacting me back with a price and date at that time. I never heard back anything by phone and even tried calling again with no answer a couple of times. I then posted through this app with the project scheduling on the 20th, four days before your defensive comment back to me, without an apology, I might add. If I could give zero stars for this company I would just on the basis of you not offering an apology for my experience and getting defensive with me when I'm just posting my experience with your company for others to be able to make an informed decision based on reviews. This isn't personal, I don't know you. I just simply did not have a good experience with your company.

We were quoted 4 hours at $200/hour, despite Apex knowing there were approximately 4 hours of travel time involved. We understood that an estimate could change, but we expected it to be a reasonable estimate based on the information provided. When I questioned the significant difference afterward, I was told they estimated that loading and unloading our belongings would only take 5-10 minutes. We were moving the contents of a two-bedroom apartment--bed, dresser, desk, coffee table, boxes, etc. Even without a couch, 5-10 minutes was never a reasonable assumption. Their estimate was the lowest we received, which influenced our decision to hire them. Had we been given a realistic estimate upfront, we could have accurately compared their pricing with other companies. Again, the actual movers were great. But beware of the estimates. In our experience, the initial quote did not realistically reflect the move, and the company was unwilling to rectify the situation afterward.

The first season we stayed, it went pretty well but this was also while it was cold outdoors, rainy and we were running on our own propane supply. This summer, however, we ultimately decided to uproot and find another park. Now, I will say Gigi and Don are nice enough people and they do try to keep their park up. We don't have any complaints about the grounds itself. Or the patrons. However, it stands to reason that the upper part of park is going to require more power usage from patrons because it has no shade at all. Our RV is metal, not wood. Before it had even reached the 80s, we were already getting complaints about the amount of power we were using to keep our RV cool (with the AC set in the 80s). Even though we were paying every penny of the "extra" electricity. I eventually had the electrical system checked out, as they had suggested, and found that, as you'd expect, putting a metal RV in the baking Alabama sun is going to result in a hot metal RV. By the 2nd month, we were over it and decided to move parks. We're now in Wetumpka, right on the lake, rent is under $500 a month and we're not paying for electricity separately. Additionally, this campground and the groundskeep aren't causing us undue anxiety simply because we're trying to survive the summer. So, this is where we're going to be staying from now on when we're in the area. I suggest others consider looking just outside of Prattville for a better deal and more consideration.
