Scarecrow Factory was a mainstay -- and beloved shop -- in Woodstown for years. Several months ago,…read morethey closed down to move and have now arrived on Pitman's main street. The shop's reemergence is still so fresh that the awning and signage haven't been placed just yet, but it's definitely worth a stop. Yes, they have lots of rustic, country home decor and gift items. That's their thing. There's a big fall-themed section with loads of stuffed pumpkins for display, among other autumn-related goods. But they also offer a cute jewelry, clothes, and consignment (all sales final) section. I couldn't resist purchasing a versatile clunky bracelet, and my mom treated herself to pre-birthday earrings and a bracelet that she tried on, loved, and forgot was on her arm until she walked up to the register! For the clothes, they're contemplating creating a dressing room area in a side corner. As of now, you can still try them on via their restroom in the back, which has a full-length mirror. I'm glad the Scarecrow Factory has resurfaced, and I'll certainly return in the future for gifts and reasonably priced jewelry. Best of luck in your new storefront!

Out of any candles I have ever bought from bath + body or yankee, this candle is the best BY FAR. This brand of candle has the cleanest + strongest scent ! I purchased honey soaked apples and by the next morning, I called and asked them to hold any more that they have. For $15, I will be coming back again and again. Not to mention, the woman that is always here (maybe the owner), is the BEST!

My daughter and her two friends--who are like family to us--walked into this establishment to check…read morewhether the Gibson guitar was still available. We stayed outside because we had the dog. As soon as they entered, a woman working there abruptly stopped them and asked, "Are you 18?" They replied that they were--because they are. She then demanded, in a rude and dismissive tone, "Show me your ID." Since we were the ones driving, the kids didn't have their IDs on them. Without offering any explanation, she pointed to the door, signaling them to leave. She was even recording them on her phone. Still hoping to purchase the guitar, my husband walked back with one of the kids--just one, to avoid provoking her again. As they approached, the woman said to another employee, "That's him." My husband asked who she was referring to, and she replied that she had already told him to leave. That's why he had returned with a guardian. Needless to say, we will be looking for the guitar elsewhere. I fully understand a policy of no minors without an adult, but they *were* 18. They weren't trying to buy alcohol, cigarettes, or anything questionable. They simply wanted to purchase a guitar--his dream guitar, in fact. What should have been a perfectly wholesome night in Pitman was ruined by someone who judged our kids at a glance and dismissed them with a wave of her hand. Ma'am, I truly hope no one ever treats you the way you treated our kids.

I come to Jersey once or twice a year to visit family and like to buy CDs. Well, they moved where the CDs were and when I asked where they were at I got told in the most rude tone "we're not an antique store any more" to which I was confused since that has nothing to do with CDs. I asked again "yes, but there were CDs over here in this corner that we're being sold by someone here or consigned, I'm not sure but could you tell me where those are?" This woman turns around to point to the sign and practically yells at me "this isn't a consignment store it's a coop!" So I reset the conversation and simply asked "could you tell me where the CDs that were for sale are" to which we went through yet another rude and condescending circle. I got my CDs but I will make sure not to come here any more and I will be cross posting this everywhere.

They really figured me out right away and didn't push anything big and overpriced at me. Oh, don't even look at the price tags because they don't go by it. Today my fiance and I went in to sell some old jewelery and pick out wedding bands. Barbara was such a big help. She really knew her stuff. I picked out a rare ring that they had just gotten in. She Gave me a lot of helpful ideas, tips, and insight on diamonds. I loved the ring and the price. My fiance had a diamond he didn't know what to do with. They took the time to carefully look at the ring. They explained diamonds and the cut and the whole deal. they suggested something we never would have thought of and again, the price is right. Lorna the gemologist couldn't be sweeter, and she also, knows her stuff. They get their jewelry form quality dealers. The one I picked out was actually from Baily Banks and Biddle that had gone bankrupt and they got it for a steal. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Most reasonable prices out there. They also buy gold and have a great selection of costume jewelry and other items on consignment. It is also in a very historical old warehouse that is haunted! They will share their ghost stories with you!

The shops on and around Main Street of this Historic Village include antiques, boutiques, home decor, restaurants and more! (Before you read any further, let me just say, shopping is not my thing, probably one of the things I dislike the most to do! ) As if this adorable town wasn't grand enough, my husband and I stumbled across a boutique set back off Main Street named Annie's Cranny, and we met Shannon, the owner. I will say, when I first walked in, I was afraid it was going to be the same as most boutiques, if you aren't a "tiny size" there's nothing here for you. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!!! Not only does she carry size women's small all the way up to 3X, she really did have plenty of inventory in all sizes!! Shannon almost immediately came over to see if I needed help and became like a personal shopper for me. Well, that's her job, right, to give the best service for her business. Yes, I agree. When you shop in Annie's Cranny and meet Shannon you get so much more than merchandise. On the website under "About the Boutique" it states "Our women's clothing boutique aims to provide an exceptional shopping experience of empowerment, inclusivity and good vibes." Shannon did all that and more. When I leave an establishment, especially a clothing boutique, feeling better than when I walked in and happier, that, my friends, is a job well done! Thank you Annie's Cranny for making my shopping experience such a wonderful and positive experience!! And by the way, the clothes and accessories are awesome!!!!
