Terrible company with terrible customer service. They will bill you after the fact for $1,000 and try to put on your credit.

Used to be a great company but have become overpriced, rude, and treat their employees like disposable garbage.

We received a seemingly good deal post-COVID on a HotSpring Spa from these guys. Delivery was delayed for several months, but that wasn't too bad - explainable as a post-pandemic supply chain issue. However, the quality of the HotSpring "Hot Spot" models turned out to be lacking and Maximum Comfort didn't care to do much about it. For example, just a few weeks after expiration of our 2-year warranty, a pump failed. Despite freezing overnight temps, Maximum Comfort told us that they should be able to get to us after their tech finished his regular "route service" in our area the following day. Minimum charge was to be $245 plus parts and any labor over an hour, but then they no-showed! The Service Manager who lied to my wife about the missed appointment is no longer there, so I don't know whether things are any better. I ended up replacing the pump myself (saving hundreds of dollars) because Maximum Comfort was unwilling to help me escalate a warranty issue to HotSpring and all that HotSpring wanted to do was refer me to their nearest Authorized Dealer. My name is Allen Cruz,I worked for MCPS 20 years. I quit Maximum Comfort for not supporting me as the Repair Coordinator. I did not see eye to eye with my Service Manager, who has one year experiance. MCPS never wants to hear what any of your employes say. This is not a good place to work, only if you want constant broken promises. The Repair service team worked hard for thier bonus between July and September only to let me know after quiting 10/15/24 they will not honor it, since I no longer work there. I feel bad for the people who need service now that the Repair Service Office Team has no one with any experiance what so ever. They used us and once we caught up with billing they treated us like nothing. I know Mike Charles worked hard to make his company great, but upper managemenr is bringing it down the last three years. We bought a home with a salt water spa. This company treated it like it was a full chlorine spa. (yes, Allen, I know even salt water spas take SOME chlorine, but thanks for speaking to my husband and myself like we are total idiots, you probably shouldn't have a job in customer service) Every component has corroded and is now leaking because the chlorine used was too much (they used the amounts for a full chlorine spa) and ate away the salt water equipment. They wanted to charge me up towards $7,500 for the leak repair THAT WAS THEIR FAULT!!?? So rude and so unprofessional on every phone call. No wonder my spa was always green and not able to be used. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are now costing me tens of thousands for spa replacement. They ruined our built in salt water spa and THEY DO NOT CARE!!! Never again will I call Maximum Comfort Pool & Spa. I had an airlock that prevented circulation. Two employees showed up. One stood around and did nothing. The other took the side off the spa, unscrewed one of the fittings, screwed it back in ,and the spa began circulating again. The worker put the side back in place and they left. Total time at my house was 15 minutes. No parts were involved. The charge was $230. That works out to $920 per hour. I complained, but got no response. Ridiculous!!! I never did business with these folks but I really wanted to. Well, I really wanted a hot tub and since they are just down the road from me in Minturn it seemed like as good of a place to go as anywhere. I went into the Eagle-Vail store and talked to a guy about what I wanted regarding sizing/features and what I needed regarding permits/engineering sign off. He told me I should contact Gary, who wasn't in at the time, and gave me a card. Cool, it seems like Gary is the man. I sent an email to him on Oct 2. Didn't get a response so on Oct 6th I filled out the contact us form on the website. No response. On Oct 8th I called and left a voice mail for Gary. It's now Oct 13th and still no contact. I don't like leaving a 1 star review but for @$#%s sake, you guys really don't seem to want to sell what you're in business to sell. WTF? read more

Literally the WORST. Do not use them. My hot tub was filthy every time I went up to spend time in Vail. They never filled it up, like ever so the water was below the jets. HORRIBLE. Total scammers. Tack extra charges on all the time without explanation. Never available even when you have the double black diamond service to respond to any issues. Bought the tub from them and had them service it weekly for 6 years and they would tack on extra fees for "labor", "extra snow removal." "Changes out pillows?! All without permission" I have video of their people standing on the cover and then billing me for a new cover at $600. Customer service is difficult to get ahold of to answer questions about billing and they even say their phone is lit up by people questioning all the charges . Steer clear!!!! read more

Worst vendor experience in the Vail Valley. Charges for trips not made. Watch your bill carefully for "additional labor" charges that appear mysteriously from time to time without explanation. Won't return calls or emails to explain billing. Speculate that some repairs were charged, but never actually made. read more

Do not under any circumstances use this company. They are by far the worst in the entire I70 vail valley corridor. They will rip you off and do shitty work. Hired then to replace my heater and circulation pump. The $250 fee to just show up is where it started. After a week and almost a $1000 bill the pump stopped working. I called them to fix their work and charged me another $250 show up fee... horrible service. There are pros and cons to this place. Pros: They offer quite a few spas to test out and they offer top of the line products, like the Hot Springs Jetsetter NXT we purchased. It was the one we wanted and they were the only local dealer that had it. Installation was a breeze with a huge crane delivering. Three guys on the upper deck who gently got it in place. Several days later, after I got the electrical hookup in, a very nice technician came by to start it up. Very professional. Went over all the chemicals. They seem to have a large service department although I have not used them since we maintain our own spa. It will be useful should a Warrent issue comes up. We will see then what the quality of that service is. Cons: buying a spa is a bait and switch game. Worse than buying a used car. Uhg! I was originally told the base price with no special incentives by Gary the only sales guy there, I think. He never followed up with me. A few weeks later, when we decided on the exact tub which he offered, there was a $2000 incentive. However, now the base price was $1000 more!! I spoke with the manager who said he'd discuss it with the Gary, the sales guy. Gary said he'd offer additional $300 off. That's is not honoring the original price, Uhg. He also tacked on a management fee AND a start up fee on top of the installation fee (that one I expected). I called a neighboring city and spoke with a great sales lady who sold the same brand- I was ready to purchase from anyone but these people. She gave me a slightly less price with a few items thrown in like steps and none of the "management and start up fees" that Gary tacked on. However, she did suggest I buy from my local dealer in case of problems. Freezing in the mountains could be a big deal. Gary and MCPS Eagle Vail is lucky some competing company suggested I stay local! Wow!!! I could tell my sales guy had no interest in what I had to say. Luckily I got the colors I wanted but when I said I wanted a cover lifter that takes the cover all the way down to the floor so it doesn't block my window he said he could do that. Did I get that - nope. I thought he had listed the correct cover lifter on the invoice. I didn't know what the model number was of the one I wanted - I trusted him. Once installed, it is not a full extension down. And now the sides on my spa were cut to accommodate this other cover lifter. I doubt they will fix this so why bother calling anymore. I'm too frustrated. I also was treated much better by the sales Preston if a different brand. He base price didn't change when specials occurred. She followed up enough but not pushy. So I endured the used car sales negotiation, paid more, got less, and who knows what the service will be like. PRO: The owner did reach out to me as she heard through a friend I was unhappy. They said they are working to revamp their costumer service to be more pleasant experience. It was nice they reached out. read more

They came back several times and absolutely made it right. Six months since my original review they have provided excellent service and we are extremely pleased. They sent several senior people and placed several phone calls to us until everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. We will continue to have them take care of our hot tub. Extremely poor service. We pay annually so they don't feel like they really have to take care of things. Two weeks in a row after service the pool was cloudy. Spa shows an error message which they ignored. Sent a service person today after I called(they ignore your email message sent to the proper address from their website) who put so much chlorine in the spa that it would be like getting into a bottle of bleach. We paid a lot of extra money for the salt system so that there would be much less use of chlorine. Ridiculous that anyone would service and leave it in unusable condition three weeks in a row now. Do you think anyone from MCPS would be willing to get in this spa? NO! Called them again and maybe someone will come out tomorrow. Service ticket stated they cleaned the cover but that is not true. Extremely poor service and slow response. If you buy a hot tub from them do not expect to be well treated after they take your money. read more

Yep, they are pricey, but if you want it local and done right as they have for so many years, and have options to look at and touch before you buy from a catalog, they have done right with us. I do not even know where to begin - choosing to purchase a hot tub from Maximum Comfort has been one of the absolute best decisions we made since purchasing our home here. Andrew is professionalism at its finest. He is extraordinarily responsive and reliable; when he says he will do something, it's done. We live in Florida, and purchasing a hot tub, having the land prepped and having the tub installed while we were 2,000 miles away was a big concern of ours. Thankfully, we had Andrew. Not only was he wonderfully helpful and patient with all of our questions during the initial decision-making process, but also, and more importantly, he was there 150% to help us during the preparation of the pad and installation. The day before the initial planned installation we discovered a big problem with our land location and actually had to change the place of install and prep another piece of our property. Andrew went out to our house, again, and FaceTimed with us to help us choose the location and make other related decisions. He coordinated with the person prepping the land and with the electrician. We had a deadline due to occupants arriving and Andrew met it. He was there and willing to do whatever was necessary to help assure we would have this hot tub by our deadline. And, his calm demeanor and can-do attitude made the whole experience so much better than it otherwise would have been. Andrew gave us the "maximum comfort" we could have had in this process.
