I have been going to Maxim to have Celine do lashes for a year now - so over 12 visits under my belt. Initially, she was SUPER sweet and indicated giving me a better deal than other clients. We had a great rapport with the same silly sense of humor... in the beginning. Now, here's my take on her customer service skills... Disrespectful. After a few visits, she started slamming other customers to me, saying terrible things about her staff, and dissing my family. Celine complained about her finances, her realtor, and as cute as she is, she just has a nasty perspective. But she is nice when you are a new client or when she's upselling you. Changed appointment times. EACH time, she texted me an hour earlier to change to an earlier appointment time. EACH time, I dropped what I was doing to get there earlier and then I still had to wait. A few times, she wasn't even there. Another time, no one had keys to get in so we waited for her. Another time, she came back strolling in late with shopping bags. And the last time, she asked me to come in earlier, I texted I was on my way and when I got there, she took in a walk-in. I get it... if you're new, she treats you golden. If you're an existing client, doesn't matter how we are inconvenienced. Lied about appointment times. She would tell her staff the customers changed appointment time... though she would tell us she needed to change the appointments. And then later would say it was for MY benefit. Frustrated with Celine. When I expressed my frustration to Celine about asking me to come in earlier and then took a walk-in, SHE GOT FRUSTRATED WITH ME... saying I need to be understanding and then she gave me the cold shoulder. NOT a good thing to do as an owner... to treat a customer that way. At this point, I'm crying in frustration the entire time she puts lashes on. No apologies from her. Lied about staff's certifications. When she asked me to have someone else start my lashes, I asked if the person was Nova Lash certified and Celine said, "Yes, of course." I later asked the stylist and she replied, "I'm still working on it... I'm not certified." Smells like smoke. It may bother you to have someone so close to your face when they smell like cigarettes. Disparaging remarks about her staff. She would express dissatisfaction about her staff but then ask me to use them instead of her. Now why would I use her staff when she slams them? After getting tired of her complaining and being late to appointments and with no nearby Nova Lash places, I used another eye lash stylist at her salon. Very sweet lady. TOTALLY different experience. Ignored me. And guess what? Celine totally ignored me when I made appointment for one of her staff. When I was paying at the register, Celine came up with her client and totally ignored me... standing directly in front of me... talking to her client or texting. Changed lashes? I now question IF Celine actually gave 3D volume lashes all the time. When lashes fall out (to be expected, right?) 3D volume lashes fall with few attached to each other... that's what 3D volume lashes are - not the single lashes. But the last few times Celine did them, only single lashes fell out when I paid for 3D volume. Glue. I complained to Celine throughout the year about my eyes stinging. She said it was my mascara. So I purchased her Nova Lash mascara after her upsell but eyes still sometimes stung. After no longer wearing mascara and only using blush with lip gloss, it has to be glue which caused stinging. Another stylist (an out-of-state friend) said if someone is not using Nova Lash glue, that could be the reason why... but how would I know? Personal business. When I wrote a check, she told me to write it to her personally... because the bank couldn't accept checks payable to Maxim Eyes. Doesn't sound legit... sounds like she's not declaring all of her business revenue... but that's between her and the IRS. Charged more than advertised price. I NOW noticed on her website that NOT only did she NOT give me a deal for the volume re-lash fills, she charged me $10 MORE than what is listed on her site! False advertising. Parking. Giving a heads up as parking is definitely an issue... not a deal breaker to me. I REALLY do not like to post these types of reviews... but enough is enough. The recent interactions were enough to get me to find another salon to do my lashes. And charging me more than the advertised price pushed me to writing this post. Sooooooo... yes, Celine looks very sweet and can be funny... but keep in mind, that's how she's been getting away with these unacceptable behaviors. Beware of Maxim Eyes... and like the poor review from another customer, I am right there with her in writing a contradictory post. As you can see, I had several negative issues with Celine. Celine is awesome! Always flexible and will always try to fit you into her schedule even if you only call a day ahead of time. Very talented, a master of her trade. She is very honest and will tell you if there are problems with your lashes and teach you how to fix them. Very fair with her pricing as well. The best lash artist in the world! I would recommend them to anyone who lives or even visits Orlando, Florida. These Florida residents are so lucky to have such a talented group of individuals sharing a passion for lashing. First off I came here to get lashes removed because they were ripping off my natural lashes. I had to cut off a lash that tugged 3 natural lashes off my lid. That's me loosing 4 lashed all together for that one! when I got there they removed all the false lashes in minutes. THANK YOU! Then I saw how beautiful and comfortable the workers lashes were. All on an individual lash and natural looking. Each employee seemed to know so much about lashing, and if they didn't know they either asked someone who did or said they weren't to sure. That's so much better than lying I took a card and over the next couple days I tried to plan my schedule around making it out here. I love the fact that they try to work with your schedule and get you in when it works best for you I came in a few days after the removal to get a full lashing for $200 and it's totally worth it. NATURAL LOOKING AND LIGHT WEIGHT, AND YES! ON EACH INDIVIDUAL LASH. I would suggest the mink, which is what I got. It was supposed to take roughly 2 hours, but it took 2.5 because of how thin and short my lashed were and also because the lashes they took off for me ripped out a good amount of my natural lashes. I am so happy they took the time to really work on my lashes and make them flawless. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. I wish they opened one in hawaii. Great price and wonderful job. A week ago I bought a Groupon to get eyelash extensions with HCI in Maitland. Unfortunately, they nearly gave me an eye infection. My eyes hurt and itched days after and the lastes kept falling out. Soooo happy with the service that I received from Celine at Maxim-Eye Lashes!! I got the classic set. My eyelashes look long and voluminous - a stark contrast to my natural lashes. As a first timer doing eyelash extensions I was very nervous, but Celine's confident and knowledgeable demeanor calmed me down. The fact that she uses medical grade equipment and top-quality lashes also helps. For someone of her skill level you would think that she would charge more, however her pricing is (in my opinion) the most affordable in the area. Bad business and extremely unprofessional. The owner Celine cancels, reschedules, and sometimes doesn't show up for appointments without warning (this has happened more than a couple times). I have been going for a little over a year and will not be wasting another dollar. When I started going I was told one price and every time after that I was being charged $20 more. Maybe she told me that initial price to get my business but she had no intention of keeping her word. The work is inconsistent some days my lashes are hardly touched, some days they are full, some days they are long or short but never the same. I frequented this salon for almost a year having the owner (Celine) work on my lashes each time with the exception of the few times that she didn't even show up to my appointments nor have the respect to tell me. Every appointment that I had with the owner Celine came late or started my appointments at least 20 to 30 minutes later then scheduled every time and never once even offered a discount for the inconvenience put on me. I even still tipped more than 20% every time I went in, but after a year of getting disrespected like my time doesn't matter there comes a point where it doesn't matter how pretty your lashes look you shouldn't let any company disrespect you the way these people will disrespect you! Sarah does really good work. She is attentive, warm, and authentic, too. I'll miss her when I leave this salon. The business owner Celine brought me in 7 months ago with her knowledgeability, skill, charisma, and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, her dishonesty and lack of professionalism have finally driven me away. I've returned for lash fills every 2 to 3 weeks for the past 7 months, and various stylists have worked on me. I have no gripes about the quality of lash application by any of the stylists, as I've usually gotten final results that were anywhere from good to excellent. I will mention that getting my overgrown extensions removed by Tammy (sp?) has usually been somewhat painful and it often felt like she was simply plucking out my natural lashes. I'm not sure if this experience is a normal and expected part of the Novalash program or what, but this part has not been pleasant for me. Overbooking and/or understaffing, and resulting egregious delays, seem to be the norm at Maxim-Eyes. Multiple times I've been left waiting 30-60 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to be serviced. Nothing in life is perfect, but I don't have half a day to potentially toss out the window, let alone twice a month, when my lashes only need 45-minute fills. Even on occasions I've been seen on time, I've still overheard other customers getting stuck with scheduling problems. Seven months of this is not a pretty pattern. Even weirder, Celine takes no responsibility for the overbooking/understaffing crises she inflicts on her customers. Instead, she has claimed to me that another client lied (and therefore somehow manipulated the business's internal appointment schedule lol...??) and also insinuated, in front of a packed waiting room, that her staff are incompetent, presumably for not being able to simultaneously work on the multiple clients she herself overbooked...as if her staff are supposed to be self-cloning witches or something? Celine habitually makes these bizarre excuses to loyal, regular customers as if they are easily manipulable pawns who will believe any outlandish thing she feeds them and then come back to pay for more of the same. Maybe that usually works out alright for her, but not today. It appears I'm not alone in my unfortunate experience at Maxim-Eyes, as some of the other reviews here corroborate the pattern of unprofessionalism I've detailed above. Life is too short and too hard to deal with this kind of unnecessary nonsense. So, no thank you. I'll miss Sarah, though! read more

She immediately puts you at ease with her warm, genuine energy and really takes the time to educate you about the lash experience and aftercare. DO NOT GO HERE!! The owner Celine has zero sense of customer service, and is very inconsiderate of your time. They would consistently have clients double booked and go back and forth, leaving you on the table waiting to resume your lashes. A simple fill takes over 2 hours! Not to mention, Celine has no urgency to be timely to her appointments and will just have another lash tech start you. One time she arrived over an hour late to our appointment and did not even wash her hands after smoking a cigarette, disgusting!! Not to mention she constantly brags that she is the best lash tech and that is why she can charge higher prices. I have reached my last straw with Maxim-Eyes Lashes. I have continued to go back because even though the experiences have been awful, my lashes looked good every time. I have been trying over a week to book an appointment with Celine. I received minimal text messages back, and we finally booked our appointment. The day of, she canceled the appointment only an hour before! Frustrating, but understanding that life happens we rescheduled. The day of our rescheduled appointment, I show up and she took a sick day without even contacting me! She just assumed I would be okay with her other lash techs taking the appointment. However I was not, as I don't feel like they produce the same quality, and for that price I want the lash technician that I booked. Celine is the only one at the studio who is verified on the nova lash website. She had only a minimal apology, and has no respect for my time or money that I spend with her. It is so rude and inconsiderate of my time, it honestly shocks me that anyone can run a business that way. I left and scrambled to find a new nova lash studio, my new lash tech informed me that my natural lashes were damaged and glued together. The worst experience.
