A visit to a podiatrist was well overdue and so I was pleased to find I could easily book an appointment online with the Fitzroy foot and ankle clinic. Glen was warm and friendly and didn't chastise me for having rough heels or give me a lecture about needing to wear orthotics. I've experienced this kind of approach from podiatrists in the past and it was refreshing to have an appointment with someone realistic about my lifestyle. Instead of trying to up sell orthotics, he gave me an explanation about the biomechanics of my feet and suggested I do some simple foot stretches to improve the structure of my feet. And, the best bit, all of the rough skin was removed painlessly from my feet and my toes can now be unleashed upon the world this summer!

Dr. Chan was fantastic, his warm and approachable demeanor put me at ease from our very first consultation over the phone. He listened attentively to what I was hoping to achieve, explained the procedure clearly, answered all my questions, put my nerves at ease, and took plenty of time to listen. He maintained that same level of care and professionalism right through to post-surgery follow-ups. His expertise and genuine interest in my satisfaction made the entire process seamless and reassuring. The Templestowe clinic is a modern, state-of-the-art facility that feels both welcoming and cutting-edge, dressed with plenty of indoor plants and natural light that add to the little nuances that made the experience more enjoyable. The staff were equally impressive, every team member, from the reception team to the anesthetist and nurses, was incredibly helpful and kind. The anesthetist was calming, comedic and professional, ensuring I felt comfortable with needles. The nurses who assisted on the day had compassionate care both before and after surgery, checking in on me with genuine warmth and attentiveness especially when waking up from being under for a couple hours when you need it most. As for the results, 6 months post op, they are excellent. Dr Chan's precision and skill delivered exactly what I had hoped for, with natural-looking outcomes that exceeded my expectations. Given the importance of online reviews, I believe any negative feedback toward Dr. Chan is likely fabricated or highly inaccurate, potentially stemming from unrealistic expectations, isolated misunderstandings, or unrelated personal grievances. It's not uncommon for outlier complaints to misrepresent the clinic's overall quality, especially when my firsthand experience was so overwhelmingly positive. Such discrepancies might also reflect subjective differences rather than objective flaws in Dr. Chan's expertise and exceptional skill. I couldn't be happier with the care I received at VCI and would highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.
