I went into Max Muscle Nutrition to check out the flavored liquid egg whites and see what the big deal was about them. I'd been hearing about them and wanted to try them for myself. The gentleman at the front desk took the time to explain what they were, how to use them, and why they're such a convenient protein option. He didn't rush us at all and actually made sure we understood what we were buying. He shared a little about himself and his background as a pro bodybuilder, which was really cool to hear. You can tell he genuinely lives the lifestyle and knows what he's talking about. On top of that, he gave us a free sample and it was amazing. What really stood out was the great customer service. Came here all the time because it's locally owned but they lost my business today. This stuff isn't cheap and my powder came not completely sealed. I came in and spoke with the owner and he just told me that it came in a box regardless and they would know if it was tampered with. But I am not using a product where ANY part of the seal is broken, as per FDA guidelines, and I think it's kind of fucked up to expect your customers to be comfortable with your word that despite a partially broken seal a product is "safe." Lost a long term customer over it with at least three years of business left in me, hope it was worth saving the $52. read more

Don't mess with this place. I spent a good amount of money here last week and got their branded protein powder. They failed to mention there's soy in. Soy promotes estrogen the female hormone and selling anything with soy in it at a nutrition shop is counter intuitive. I called to ask for a refund and not only was told no and not offered a different product. The guy raised his voice at me and proceeded to tell me I'm wrong. It's not 1995 anymore where you have to take the word of the guy at the nutrition shop or at the gym. I've done my due diligence of research and continue to do so and know what I'm talking about. Soy promoting estrogen along with soy being 100% not good for males is basic common knowledge these days and to be told I'm wrong is hilarious. My husband and I love Orange crest Max Muscle!! We recently moved to Canyon Hills, and I still find a way to get out to Riverside for the product. We have tried several other products from nutrition stores near us and we just don't like them as much as Max Muscle. Austin, and Theron are extremely knowledgeable with what products are right for you as an individual, about two years ago I had Austin give me a nutrition plan and when I stuck to it, the inches and weight melted off. Stopped in after passing this place every time I go to the gym I was surprised to see that there was A big selection of all different types of nutritional supplements for being such a small shop. I was quickly greeted by David he told me he was a certified nutritionist and we got to talking about some goals that I have and I told him that I was vegan and I was interested in getting a good tasting vegan protein mix. I haven't had too much luck finding one that was smooth and creamy and didn't have an aftertaste. He then told me about a new brand that he just got in , and I was interested in trying it but was hesitant to spend a big amount of money on something that I wasn't sure I was going to like so he was nice enough to give me a sample and even a blender cup . he decided to give me some information about what else that they offer there and he did a free body fat analysis and I returned the next day and bought the chocolate vegan protein I sampled which by the way was delicious ! My husband new Austin from pervious years and he suggested I take my son out there who is going to football for college.
