Food is amazing! Be prepared to wait a little bit if it's a busy night. Definitely recommended.

This place is delish!! Wow just passing through Auburn and stopped to eat! I saw the antlers in…read morethe door and said to myself, "This is it"! Hensley our bartender was phenomenal and great service! It's great when I travel around and nice people are part of your day! The bar is beau tile and the cattle skulls made in Bali! The food was delish. I got the Cuban Fried Porkchop hoagie!! I loved the local recipes and very crisp. Fries OMG the flavor! If you ever come through Auburn this is a stop!! Salute!!

If you're looking for a place that feels like a high-end hunting lodge married a modern restaurant…read moreand raised a family of delicious food and strong drinks, The Hound is your spot. I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
