When checking out they could care less. I asked them to print out what I needed done detailed and of what It would cost me and she said she could not provide that after the dentist said they could and would. Called them to get the same thing sent to my email, she never sent It. Called back and talked to another person she said the same thing which Is BS! It also says on their site what insurances they accept, I have 2 and they accept both It states on this site, but one of them they do not accept........ It should cost me less to nothing with both insurances ha what a joke not here

Now, he has an empire. with large offices all over Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake. Yet, he hasn't changed. He is very personable, great with kids (I know because I started going when I was a kid) and he does his work with great precision and accuracy. For a period of time, I had to switch dentists because of my insurance. Konikoff offices take most insurance, this was just really, really awful insurance. I tried many other area dentists and was very disappointed with my experiences. I guess Dr. Konikoff just raised the bar too high. I actually had to go back to Dr. Konikoff to have something fixed that another dentist had done. No matter my insurance, I'll never make that mistake again. Unfortunately, I don't have insurance now, but I still get in to see Dr. Konikoff regularly. Dr. Konikoff is a busy man, traveling between his multiple offices each day of the week. If I'm going in for a regular cleaning, I'll see any of the dentists on hand. They are all very qualified and provide excellent care.

They have 80 different "departments" when you call (none of which answers). Expect to spend an hour waiting for pre-appointment (WTF is that?) before your cleaning. I get it they're understaffed then stop taking patients. Perfect example of diseconomies of scale. This place is way too big and inefficient and they put all those problems on you because they don't value your time. I'm surprised they haven't outsourced all their phone staff to India.

Warm, personable, direct, explains things very clearly, offers options where possible... I won't go to another dentist. This is after 40 years of many, many dentists - she is without question the best I've been to in terms of my anxiety, and her work is also top notch. Absolutely five stars.

And Jack turned out to be a really good dentist. Decades later he is still my dentist of choice. The office is now in a beautifully decorated space at the corner of Shore Drive & Great Neck Road. The staff is friendly & helpful. The hygienists are terrific. Knowledgeable, efficient, & careful, they never give up on attempting to coax me into regular flossing. Cleanings are scheduled based on your individual needs. I am currently on an every 3 month schedule, which is working great. I see the doctor with every other cleaning. The dental equipment & techniques are state of the art. A computer system offers high tech visuals & information mounted near each dental chair. There is no pain involved in either the cleanings or more involved dental work. The numbing agent used doesn't leave you with an elephant lip for hours afterwards, which is an amazing progression of dental technology. Fillings & caps are checked on a regular basis to determine if replacement is needed. This has saved me from developing cavities as really old dental work has deteriorated. There is a detailed check of one's gums on a tooth by tooth basis. Advice is then offered on improving gum health. I love the text message appointment reminders. Text C to confirm. Another plus is the hour schedule. The office is open from 7am - 5pm Monday - Thursday. What a wonderful way to accommodate the schedules of individuals who need to book outside normal working hours. I had one crown that she sent back because it was not made properly by the lab.
