This is the best I've ever been to. We got a flat mid-way on a family road trip. They couldn't repair it because of where the puncture was, and they didn't have the replacement tire in stock. It's a rare tire so NOBODY had it, and our trip looked ruined. These guys called around all over and found what must have been the last one in stock on the east coast. Completely hooked us up and saved our trip. Big respect for Travis and the dude with the gauge earrings working the front (sorry I didn't catch the name). These are real men, helping a family out because they could. 10 stars read more

Heading to our son's football game in Pennsylvania on 78 and my low tire pressure gauge came on. Didn't want to risk continuing on so luckily found this location. They were able to fit us in and get us out within an hour. Removed the nail, plugged the hole and at a very reasonable price. We still made it to the game on time thanks to them! read more

Made the mistake of bringing my fleet car here. Left it for a whole day for new tires and oil change. Called them because I needed the car, said they are waiting for authorization for the tires. Called the fleet company, turns out they only asked for authorization after having my car a full day, and it was approved also immediately. Then when I came to get the car back, Travis tried lying to me and saying I have to bring it back to them , called the fleet company they said otherwise and canceled the authorization. Won't ever be back. Don't come here unless you got time to waste. read more

I made an appointment on Friday to come in Saturday morning for tires and a wheel alignment online ... I even called and spoke to a supervisor or manger the same Friday she told me she didn't have the tires in stock but she would be able to help me get in a new pair of tires for the same price ... I obviously was excited and got there 10 min early ... I drop the car off next thing I know I get a phone call saying that they don't have the tires cuz she sold them that Friday night .. and that they are waiting for the shuttle truck to bring the tires and they would give me a call when it got there .. mind you it was 8:00 this morning I'm writing this at 11:00 at night still waiting for a phone call .... Very unprofessional and false advertisement.... I went to another place got I got new tires , balanced and got them aligned for 300$ cheaper then mavis was doing them for read more

Great experience ! My vehicle was taken right away and everything was fully explained to me. Prices were competitive and clear. Staff was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I was a repeat customer ; and i will continue to come here!! Fantastic visit!! read more

After going to get the front end aligned on our car we realized that it wasn't done correctly. An appointment was made for Sunday morning at 10 AM to fix it. We showed up at 945 and "Andrew "informed us that he would not be able to help us even though we had an appointment. He said that there were five reservations in front of us and he couldn't help us. He said in a monotone half dead voice "I might be able to fit you in on Tuesday." WTF?! They screwed up the alignment and now they were pushing us off? NEVER AGAIN! read more

Mavis Discount Tire - DON'T GO HERE!! - Tires Near Me - Phillipsburg, New Jersey

Great place good people awesome vibe Robert was so kind and helpful he solved the problem quickly. Thank you!!

I would not recommend them. I had my tires for 9months and the threading came threw and put a hole in my tire. Went to msvis where I bought them and they did not offer me a free tire or discount on a tire. I was told I didn't pay for a warranty on tires. (Something I never heard of). They are under a year old they should be warrant for a defect in a tire. I was never offered a warranty. read more

This place has me so aggravated! My husband made an appointment at 9 am on a Sunday morning because he had one day off and a day full of activities planned. It is now 12:45 and he is still sitting there 3 hours and 45 minutes later. This place has ruined the entire family's day and our day off with my husband. It is ridiculous, they could have told us it would take this long, we would have left the car there. Never ever again Mavis of Pburg, you ruined our Sunday and I'll be sure to put this review everywhere I can! read more

Amazing and quick service!!! The staff that saw me were very helpful. I don't know much about cars yet everyone was very understanding, and answered all my questions. read more

A bunch of so called mechanics who don't know what surface rust is on a 2006 truck. I know a lot about vehicles and looked at the frame myself. Pushed on the frame and my hand didn't go through it. A lift can lift the truck up to do a simple tire job. These guys need more training. With out knowledge they had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't be driving it. It's sad that they lost a customer cause they can't do their job. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GO TO THE MAVIS IN PHILLIPSBURG NJ ON ROUTE 22. THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT VEHICLES!! read more

Called and made a reservation for 5 pm through their call center. Made a deposit so they could "order" the tires. I get there a little early. Told my tires are not there. And it was two late for them to put 2 tires on anyway. There was a lot of double talk and trying to confuse me because they did not want to work. It was obvious the guy had no clue how to do his job. I will definitely avoid this one from now on. Horrible customer service at this location. read more

Got shocks done and tires replaced. I'm impressed that after quite a long while they were the only ones that figured out my car had problem shocks. Even Hyundai and two mechanics wasted my time. Great job and good prices. read more

I am updating my review of Mavis in Phillipsburg, NJ: My first review was accurate. However, these things happen in businesses. Sometimes it take a customer to speak up, in a respectful manner, to make the business aware and for them to improve. And that is exactly what happened. We had an issue, we bought it to the attention of Mavis (Mark the regional manager) and it was rectified. Jessica at the Phillipsburg location was extremely professional and efficiently took care of our needs in a timely manner. We will now continue to use Mavis for our future needs as they displayed true customer service! read more

I called this morning and Scott' politely answered the phone. I told him that I needed to have a slow leak repaired in my tire. He told me to come on in that it wasn't that busy and he could get right to me. I showed up about 45 minutes later and they took my keys and started working right on my car. 15 minutes later I had my keys back in my hand and a repaired flat tire. These guys were awesome, super friendly and I would highly recommend you going there for any tire needs that you may have. Thanks guys! read more

Dan, the STS's Manager on site, showed incredible customer service today during my visit. He turned a terrible day a lot warmer and brighter. As I commuted from upstate NY to central NJ for work, my day started at 6am. After 75% into my drive, my rear left tire blew out. I reluctantly drove 4 miles to the nearest STS tire shop, to have my tire replaced (there were other options, but given STS's breadth of inventory, I figured they would have my tires in stock). Dan and his team was helpful to educate me on my repair options and helped me get in and out of the shop as quickly as possible. After about an hour, I had two new tires installed. When I thought the dreadful day was over, I accidently locked myself out of my car. Dan first used creative ways to get me back into my car. When that failed, he offered to drive me back home (~ an hour away) to retrieve my spare key. Honestly, I have never met such a kind, generous and compassionate person at an auto shop, or at any other service center for that matter. Given that I was out of options, I took Dan on his offer. And when I tried to remunerate him, he politely declined. Needless to say, I am extremely GRATEFUL. I cannot thank him and his colleagues enough at STS. Again, Thank you! read more

The staff is always kind and accommodating at this location. They're very helpful and honest! I had a bubble in my front right tire a few months ago when my tire pressure light came on and I came here to have it checked out. I was due for all four to be changed at that time anyway, so the staff helped me choose what tires were best for my vehicle. I opted in on their road hazard warranty program for the tires which is inexpensive and really is beneficial to the consumer. They'll also rotate your tires for free whenever you're due, and there are always coupons available on their website for almost every service. Always a pleasant experience! read more

Just beware guys, there were good reviews which is why I chose to go there for an emergency tires change. They charged me more than quoted for the tires, actually screwed up my alignment where the wheel was sideways when I left and the car shaking because the tires were not balanced (I had them charge 4 tires that took them 3 hours to do). When I called them right away, Danny said to come back when in the area (I told them I live 4 hours away) and he'd be willing to take a look again and it's too late now because they are closing soon. Ridiculous. I had to drive with the car shaking for an hour to where I was staying over and go the next morning to Jack Williams to get the tires balance and realigned. These guys can be professional scammers if you're not careful. read more

I wasn't sure about buying from Mavis, but I got great tires, fair price, and so-so service. Older guy was a bit of an ass wipe. I was dropping off the rims and he's got attitude, 'we're closing in 5 minutes.' Otherwise they'd get 5 stars. Fortunately guy doing the instal the next day was cool, and so was service manager. read more

I had a slow leaking tire. I was told it would be about an hour so I left and came back an hour and a half later. My car wasn't checked yet. While I waited another hour and a half, the mechanics would look through the orders and pick the one they wanted. I told them that I wanted my keys back so I could go home. Somehow my car was finally next. They checked every tire and my spare in the trunk and told me they couldn't find a leak. They said they put the tire in the dunk tank but my car was in the first stall and I watched. The tire was not taken off the car. read more

Horrible! Absolutely horrible! I walked in the one day to change my tires on my vehicle and while waiting in line I overheard the lady offering discounts for an elderly man on his set of tires and alignment because he could not afford it at the moment. Well when I stepped up to get my quote she did not offer me anything and I had to fight over it. On top of that they gave me horrible tires that were very noisy after they were put on. I had to come back twice to get the problem taken care of! Major attitude from the assistant manager and shop manager! They were treating me horribly as if it was my fault! You could tell they were so upset every time they saw me and they weren't even test driving the car! I took it to another Mavis and contacted Regional director and they did absolutely nothing! 8 trips later betweens 2 Mavis location and come to find out they swindled me into thinking the problem was my breaks and rotors and of course the squeaking noise never went away and I forked out hundreds of dollars and so did they just to "fix" the issue and now my car is completely messed up and makes noises and they apparently cannot find the issue. They started blaming me as if I was making stuff up and ended up telling me the car was fine! Absolutely not! My car never made noises until I went to them! 7 different noises! They would fix one problem and another would arise all different sounds! NEVER AGAIN! And they want $$$$$$$$ read more

My dad recently visited STS for new tires. After inspecting his car, the sales rep said it was unnecessary and sent him home. My dad had been convinced that it was time for new tires, but STS did not take advantage of him. The folks at STS are honest and the quality of their service is undeniable. Our family will be loyal customers from here on out. Thanks STS! read more

So another day to get vehicle fixed. Took me off guard so I could not have planned any worse. They identified problem with brakes and completely made sure I understood. Just took my vehicle in for new tires, front end alignment and ball joints. These guts continue to impress me. Tony and Danny are great and they provide excellent customer service. Again, for routine vehicle maintence as well as tires and wheels, my vote and recommendation is to take your vehicle to STS in Phillipsburg. read more

My sister needed new tires and after going to Walmart and them only having the poorest quality tires, she was frustrated and was going to give up for the day. That's when I turned to my trusted Yelp and found this place. As we drove over the bridge and saw the "Welcome to New Jersey" sign, we cracked up that we somehow wound up in NJ for tires when we were from PA! I had called before we drove over to get a quote. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and I told him we would be there in a few. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and they were able to pull up the quote we got on the phone. We dealt with Josh and Bill. Both were very nice, even apologizing when they took a phone call for a moment. This was a big deal for us because we had recently been to another auto shop where the man at the front desk spoke on the phone for a good 10 minutes and completely ignored us standing right in front of him waiting to speak to him. Bill may have not even thought anything of this, but to us, that simple "sorry bout that" really made us feel appreciated and welcome. We were given a realistic wait of 2ish hours for the work to be complete since they were quite busy. (We were changing all 4 tires.) We decided to walk back over the bridge to Easton, PA where we passed many restaurants/stores/bars. Bill told us the best walking route and even offered to pick us back up possibly if they had someone available. Again, the honesty but effort was much appreciated. We wound up walking back and not even calling to be picked up because we enjoyed the walk. About two minutes before we walked into the shop, they were calling us that they were all done. Perfect timing. Thank you for your professionalism, courtesy, and honesty. Worth going to NJ just because it was such an enjoyable experience. read more

Ordered four new tires from Mavis on Monday. Told to come to the shop on Wednesday at 8:00 am. I arrived at 7:55... the manger didn't arrive till 8:05. No apology for making us wait - it was 3o degrees outside - and then told me that there was a "Shuttle message " on the computer. Seems that my tires were not delivered yet. The manager said come back later... I think not. Called Mavis Customer Service when I returned home. The customer service woman sounded as if I had just woke her up. Not helpful. Canceled the order - got a better price and better service at Bergey's Tire Center in Easton, PA. read more

I had an appointment on Friday afternoon for a front end alignment. I waited over an hour past my appointment time then talked to the guy at the desk. I said to him that he put that vehicle up on the rack just minutes before my appointment time knowing that it would make me, who had an appointment, very late. He couldn't deny it. If you make an appointment with them, be prepared. They don't seem to care about that fact. I walked out without having the service done disgusted with their customer service. My third trip there will be my last read more

Very good staff, from the customer service team behind the counter to the mechanics. I had a brake problem on a Sunday and took my truck in at 2pm and was fixed-and-out-the-door driving again by 3:45p! I was there last year for something and got very fast turn-around and excellent service then too. So they are two-for-two. I'm going back and recommend the Phillipsburg NJ STS. read more

They are great. I'm definitely going back to them when I need stuff done .

They did a great service today for us. Well the man at the front desk amd Im so sorry I didn't get his name. We got off the highway in Easton, PA for an event last night and found my tire was flat. We were staying over and didn't want to drive back to NYC on a spare. I called them this morning and the man at the counter said to come and he'd put a service call in for me. When I walked in he said I'd have an hour wait and to leave my tire with him. Having 2 young kids and trying to figure out what to do for an hour in a place we don't know wasn't thrilling me. As my husband was getting everything out of the trunk to get the tire, the man came out to help him. He got the tire, said it was the valve, he'd fix it in 10 mins for us for free but my husband would have to put the tire on. Worked for us! Thank you for saving us time, money, and an hour of my sanity with 2 little kids!! Oh, and a safe drive home :) read more

Danny and his crew always go above and beyond for us and our vehicles. They always find the time to get the job done quickly and professionally. Will trust our vehicles to no other shop, and there are plenty, including another STS, between us and the Phillipsburg location. More than worth the trip. read more

This STS is very convenient to where I live. My work truck is my life. Today I came here for a flat tire. However, I need tires and my windshield washer pump needs fixing. "Dan" tells me "yeah that thing is too difficult for me to get to". REALLY?! So you just want the simple work that you don't have to work very hard for? And his attitude was offensive as well. At the time I brought it in, I inquired about ltires, a fuel filter, additional torquing of wheel spacers. I have literally thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done to this truck. And since it is a fleet vehicle I am basically unrestricted as to where I can take it. I got literally no response on any of my other inquiries and pushed out the door. I will NEVER come her again. With that kind of attitude I will take my business as well as my families and anyone else i CAN TELL TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more
