Mavis Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

Needed an inspection an appointment for 12 o'clock. Was there for three hours told me I needed a part they didn't have the part they had to order the part.. I came back on Wednesday as they were open late after and waited there for about an hour and a half and the guy told me that they ordered the wrong part or the wrong part came in. It's been three days since I was there for nothing still didn't get my inspection and still never called me about the part so I went somewhere else and they determined that I didn't need that part. My personal experience with them is that their money hungry and you wait a long time. read more

Had a last minute stop in to have a nail removed and the tire plugged just before they closed for the day. The guys there were super nice and had the tire fixed in 20-25 min. Highly recommend these guys. Thanks for the quick fix. Cost was so reasonable read more

Let me tell u , I've come here n there for about 4 y bc i have no choice , Now im just so over these people &them changing prices on me .this week alone I got 3 different prices .i def feel they are taking advantage of there customers especially women drivers .trust me they have gotten me for so much money .im so mad i cant do this job somewhere else .why cant these mechanics just stop over pricing things like we are fools .also telling almost demanding my tires get change wen others are telling me there actually fine .ive put of over 1,000 in a week to these people and something else keep coming out .im so over them cant wait to find another location read more

The guys are pretty chill. The wait time is ridiculous so be prepared. They're honest and will try and sell you more services you might need but if you decline then that's it they don't push. Not a whole lot of room in waiting area or chairs but it's a garage and cleaner than some. Overall not a bad place to get brakes and tires done read more

They cheat women by marking up the price an extra few hundred dollars. They charged me $500 for parts that cost less than two hundred. Altogether my bill was $897.21 for front brakes, front rotars and a caliper on my 1995 Oldsmobile. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I ordered tires online and scheduled an appointment online. Saturday comes and the 'tire truck' had not arrived yet. Told me to come back in 2 hours. Two hours later I go back and still no tire truck. Go back on Sunday and was good to go. Pick up 2-3 hours later. Red flag #1, the tpms light was on. Check the tire pressure tires were inflated to 60 psi. Tire states not to inflate over 40 psi. Drive the car all week. Saturday comes and I decide to tighten the lug nuts as suggested on the bill. Good until I get to the last wheel and 2 log nuts are just spinning. Took car to the place I bought it. They replaced all 5 studs and lug nuts. Un-buh-fricken-levable. Got some real rocket scientists working there. read more

Love Mavis Discount Tire. Kevin got an appointment for me immediately and showed me exactly how bad my rotors and back tires were. I was shocked. Had the work done in less than an hour .couldn't have been nicer . Car drives beautifully. Thank you so much to Kevin and the team at the Mount Pocono Mavis! read more

Xavier was a very rude person I was speaking to him on the phone about the situation with my card and he become aggressive and arrogant and then I told him that he was being about my money then he proceeded to tell me to call corporate and get my money from them I'll never go there again thank you Xavier at Mavis in mount Pocono on 940 read more

Four new tires, alignment, inspection. Satisfied with price and service. Would go again.

Your Managers are rude. It seems to me that they don't want to work or take in work. I have several vehicles and each time I went there it's the same attitude. I then went to Jack Williams and Tori was pleasant and helpful with my needs. I understand Mavis now owns this Jack Williams so I will still be using your services, but I will not step foot in Mavis on 2964 Pa. 940 Pocono Summit Pa. 18346. read more

just go anywhere else, this place is pretty methed up. They just kept my car for a few days, but never actually worked on it. What a waste.

Went in to get a flat fixed. While waiting the manager and one of the employees get into a verbal argument that ended up becoming physical. The employee then pushed the manager over (manager I'm guessing was in their 60s) and he fell to the ground. Not sure what caused everything to get so heated but I've never wanted to leave a place so fast. I do hope the manager is ok, even if he was the one to cause the argument (who knows who actually did start it). read more

Got a flat tire on a road trip ! This location was the only place open and close by they were so nice and took me 15 mins before they were closing. I was in and out so fast. They saved the day. read more

Horrible customer service and very rude staff. Extremely long wait times. Don't waste your time going here.

Management wants me to call them, so they can assist me? What for? I learned my lesson. I will never use them again for inspections. Why don't they spend time training their employees not to take advantage of their customers? That's how they can assist. read more

Mavis Discount Tire - This is the old brake pad. Plenty of pad left. - Tires Near Me - Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

I took my car in for new tires, an alignment and an oil change on 12/24/22 at the Mount Pocono shop. I paid and took my car home. When I got home, I checked my oil level, as I tend to do when I have it changed. That is when I noticed that they did not complete the oil change. The oil level was low and it was completely black. I also noticed that the oil filter on the car was the same exact one I had put on back in October when a different shop changed my oil. I reached out to customer service and they put in me in contact with Kevin Russell, regional manager for Mavis. After a brief exchange, Kevin requested that I have the other shop do the oil change and to forward the invoice to him. This is where things took a turn for the worse. I brought the car to another shop on 12/31/22 for an oil change and to have the new tires balanced due to excessive vibrations. As soon as the vehicle is on the lift, the technician brings me into the service bay. He shows me how Mavis performed the alignment incorrectly as evidenced by several loose nuts and bolts, and broken cotter pins. According to the technician, this is why I was experiencing excessive vibrations when operating the vehicle and he further advised that I was fortunate that none of the bolts sheared off while driving as that would have resulted in a catastrophic accident. All of this was documented on the invoice. I forward the invoice to Kevin Russell via email and also left him a message. This went unanswered. I called Kevin this morning and was immediately sent to voicemail. So, I reached out to the customer support department and advised them of the situation. They informed me that my service ticket would be forwarded to a different manager and he would reach out to me today. I had a missed call on my phone and when I called it back, I was able to leave a message for the new manager assigned to my case, David. As of this afternoon, I have not had further contact from Mavis customer support or either of the regional managers. I am livid to say the least and am left without a vehicle as it is not in safe operating condition. read more

Got a flat tire on a road trip. We go and wait a bit because they were busy. After about 30 min, they identified the issue with the tire and decided to use our spare. Our spare key wouldn't open so they had to cut open the key hole. They went out of their way to solve our issue and after the whole ordeal decided to not charge us! Great customer service and very helpful crew. read more

I went for a state inspection but they didn't have any stickers. They inspected my car and Xavier, the person working the counter, told me he would call me when they got them. He never called so I stopped by. At this point, all I needed was for them to put the sticker on my windshield. They insisted on inspecting my car again, even though they did it already. I didn't have the time to sit for another inspection & all I wanted was the inspection sticker I already paid for. I went someplace to get an inspection. Terrible customer service. They shouldn't promise things they won't honor. read more

I came in for brakes, tires and an inspection and little did I know (not the brightest with cars) I had a whole lot more with my Ford Focus than I thought. Anthony kept constant communication with me the entire process and helped me to get my car perfect and road ready. What seemed like was going to be the worst of the worst turned out great because of the team at Mavis in Mt. Pocono. I definitely will only bring my cars here, and will tell all of my friends and family in the area to do the same. Thank you guys so much!! read more

Took us in last minute day after the Christmas holiday when they were busy and replaced two back tires in 20 minutes with a smile on their face. Thanks to these wonderful people. Great place and would recommend!! read more

Recommend you avoid this place if you are a woman. They lied and said the right tire would be delivered, but whoops - the delivery truck broke down and I was out of luck. Two male workers then refused to give me a tire that would enable me to drive 90 miles to my home. But when my husband called and asked them to do it, they agreed. A female worker defended "her guys", but she was not a witness to the conversation. Luckily for me, a tow truck arrived and I stopped whatever work they were doing. Stay away from these mansplainers. They fit every cliché about workers who treat women like garbage. And they don't like being called out on their obvious lies. read more

10 stars if possible. Changed two tires in 20 minutes, with great customer service. Best tire price in the area too.

i booked an appointment online, got a confirmation email and called to confirm. the next day i arrived for my appointment the guy behind the desk said "well who the hell booked this appointment" uhhh, what? then proceeded to tell me the guy had left early and there was no one to do the inspection and that they were so busy all day they couldn't call me to tell me that he left but yet when i arrived 7 guys were standing outside looking at the same cars tires. i'm very confused, i'm also very confused how they think this is acceptable customer service. i didn't get a sorry or anything i got a "you'll have a better day tomorrow" lol. what a joke of a business. i recommend you go anywhere but this place full of rude lazy employees. read more

I have been going to STS and Mavis at this location for many years and have had wonderful experiences. Colby the manager, is smart, fair, helpful and very easy to work with. For the past two years I have had a great relationship with him and his team there however I just learned this weekend that Colby is unfortunately no longer there and the new manager, Clint took over and is clearly no Colby. He is not very friendly and appears to only be concerned about squeezing every dollar out of each customer. I see the attitude of the workers has changed drastically and although I have always bought my tires there and have always had free rotation, balancing and repair, Clint now tells me I have to pay $14.95 to plug a tiny hole in my tire that I bought there. At the same visit, I asked them to change my two bulbs for my fog lights. Clint hold me each bulb would be $59 plus installation and that no one in the area had them. I couldn't believe 2 tiny auto bulbs could cost that much so I told him not to order them. I then went down the road a few miles to National Auto and bought both bulbs for a total cost of $25 and installed them myself. I have no idea why Colby had to leave and why Mavis chose to put someone like Clint in charge, however now I must find a new repair shop in the Poconos. read more
