I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

Found one that was able to give me 2 more years and very much appreciated the honesty the A COOL AIR gave. November 2025 it was time to change it out. Made the appointment, received the estimate after inspection, was informed of the rebates both for SMUD as well as Federal Tax Credits and gave the go ahead. They had it installed in 2 days' time, and let me tell you, this new system? Makes me come to terms that I never really had a real one to begin with!!! I was given options to which one would work best for my unit (I live in a condo) and wasn't swayed one way or the other. Chose one, and I am SO THANKFUL I did! These few days in the 90's so far have given comfortable and cool air throughout my home and including my bedroom which never cooled off or heated up to the rest of the house. I held off on giving a review because I wanted to make sure the cooling worked and it does!!!! Received a phone call the next morning around 7:30 from Rey's and we set up a same day appointment. I was told they'd be coming to the house from 12-2pm so I left that window open in my day. I was super happy when the technician, Adrian, arrived at 12:05! Very punctual. The house call was $99. This was very fair but also only the beginning. I was hopeful my total wouldn't be too much more. Adrian got to work and took a total of two hours to complete the job. He was very detailed in telling me the issue at hand and informed me more about my current furnace. The cost of everything came out to $324. But this means we're going to have a warm home all winter long, which is priceless. Thanks Rey's! Look forward to having them come back out to service and maintain the air conditioning system.

They found I was very low on refrigerant, which indicated a leak in the lines. I chose to replace the refrigerant and add a dye to help them find the leak(s). The dye also contained a sealant that might provide e temporary fix. They suggested I become a VIP Service Club member, because the instant discount would save me more than a whole year of membership. So I signed up for membership and saved $356. A few weeks after that, I asked Airmech to come out again to check the system for leaks. They came out promptly, at no cost, and found no leaks. Then two weeks ago, the AC was not working again. This time, the diagnosis was different: a fried mother board. Seeing a pattern here, I recognized this may be a wise time to replace the whole system. I've learned about the benefits of heat pump air conditioner and heater units. So I asked for estimates from Airmech and four other venders what it would cost to replace my HVAC with a heat pump HVAC and replace my gas water heater with a heat pump water heater. Airmech credited the whole cost of our June repair back to us in their estimate for this new job. Their price was competitive and the recommendations they gave for system improvements were compelling. In the process of clarifying last-minute details, I asked if their drywall handyman would be available to do another drywall job in the house. The estimator (Alex) and drywall handyman (Manuel) came out and gave me an attractive on-the-spot estimate fort he additional drywall work. I said yes. They begin work on tomorrow.

I cannot believe this company has any positive reviews. We hired them one year ago to put in new…read morefans in our walk-in freezer at our business. We paid them almost $8,000 and within the past year we have called them several times because the freezer constantly gets warm and stops working. They always come out, check it, make whatever adjustments and then a month later same issue. Memorial Day weekend my manager calls to have them come out because the freezer is excessively loud and one of the fans stopped working. Arctic HVAC's tech shows up and is there for only 5 minutes and says it's fine now. A few days later the temp climbs to 30 degrees. This time we call them back because we are still in warranty, and this time absolutely NO response. We then called another company who came out in a few hours. Diagnosed the problem as a burnt out fan motor due to ice on the coils. They fixed it and I'm out $1,000 because Arctic HVAC Solutions is incompetent and have wasted our time for the last year. DO NOT HIRE them!! I don't write a lot of reviews and I understand business is hard out there but this experience has been a headache and I will never hire them again.

Two word review: Honest, Responsive…read more This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

He found an issue that had somehow been missed by another HVAC company that had been performing routine annual inspections on our system. He explained what he was seeing in a way that was easy to understand, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were comfortable before doing any work. We never felt pressured or like we were being sold something we did not need. Alex clearly takes pride in his work and in making sure the customer understands what is happening.
