The interior manages to be cosy without getting cramped, and the ambience in general is very relaxed and inviting. I would never normally have trekked up to Walkley for a meal, but it's well worth it in this case (just hop on the 95 from the town centre, there's a stop right outside the restaurant!) They didn't have the salmon so I went for pancakes. I'd paid extra to have bacon but I wasn't expecting to have fruit as well! So on one side of my plate I had pancake with two slices of bacon and on the other, pancakes with strawberries, bananas and blueberries! Plus a little pot of maple syrup. It looked strange at first but actually it was quite nice, the best of both worlds. Everyone else was very happy with their meals. The hash looked particularly good. I'll have to visit my local branch to try it. My meal and coffee came to about £10 which wasn't bad. We had lots of tap water throughout. The waitress was extremely efficient.
