The assessment I received at the beginning was so thorough and informative compared to what I received previously; you can tell she really knows her stuff. Before Maureen, my son dreaded going to speech therapy sessions, I would have to drag him there crying. Now my son literally asks everyday if Maureen is coming over to play with him and he truly enjoys each session. I am always amazed at the fun games and ideas she comes up with to get him to start saying new words. One major thing I love with Little Speech Boutique is that I can have her come to my home, instead of driving to a center. I find that my son is much more comfortable at home and of course it's a lot easier for me. The inside of the building is extremely child friendly, and the staff are so amazing with Marie. They always greet us with a warm welcome, and Marie has been improving every visit. She was finally able to stand up and speak in her class presentation without crying, and she finished with a big smile on her face! I have gotten to know the staff very well through our multiple visits, and I cannot explain how much passion they have towards their practice and how much they enjoy helping children through their struggles. Bryana is one of the first therapists to offer this kind of ground-breaking therapy in middle Tennessee. After many years of ABA and VB therapy, my son regained limited verbal skills and learned to communicate his basic needs and wants, but reached a plateau and isn't very conversational or able to communicate his deeper thoughts. Through Spelling to Communicate therapy, Bryana has unlocked my son's knowledge with the letter board and has given my son even more of a voice! He's been able to expand his expressive language by learning to spell his responses, which has been very exciting to experience. He's not only been able to show how academically intelligent he is - he's learning to communicate his deeper thoughts and feelings in a way so that others know they are HIS words. They gently pushed me to a bit more each time, while keeping an eye on my comfort and pain level. Within a few sessions, I was able to move my shoulder around better and wasn't waking up in pain anymore. By the time I "graduated" I was pain free and had a list of exercises to help maintain good health. Now almost a year later, I still have no pain in my shoulder. I credit the Choice therapists with that! I have to say that their Receptionist is also very sweet and was very accommodating to my timing for appointments.
