We have been planning to come here for a long while, but we finally put it on the calendar. We…read moreapproached the property and noticed the huge parking lot. I quickly found a spot and we entered through the side entrance. Soon as we entered we were welcomed warmly with eye contact and smiles. We just took our time looking at all the different fun stuff. From a full size couch to a board game; you name it they have it. You can easily get lost in here for hours just browsing around and nobody's rushing you. Take your time. I would definitely recommend a visit to Kudzu.

Once staff realized it may have been more valuable than expected, their tone changed and I was told they needed to check with the seller. Staff were openly commenting about how nice the item was and saying they wished they had noticed it sooner. No so long after placing the item on hold I received a call saying the item was suddenly "not for sale." Whether intentional or not, it gave the impression that desirable items may not actually be available to customers. Sad to say I don't recommend. Edit: The reply from the owner clearly shows how out of touch he is with his store and its sellers. There are multiple people who can attest of the behavior of the modifying and removal of the piece I was interested in. A simple check in with your employees would confirm the situation. Congrats on the 45 years you hold in the community maybe tell your sellers to try and do better in the years to come! Honesty and humility go a long way. See the screenshot from the 29 sec phone call I received where they told me the piece was no longer for sale!

I am a huge fan of anything antique or vintage- whether it's thrifting or visiting an estate sale…read moreor a true antique shop like Antiques and Beyond. If you are anything like me, just walking around this store can fill that happiness of seeing beautiful pieces of the past. I felt like this store just kept going and going, it was huge and jam-packed full of everything you can think of. Furniture, jewelry, books, clothing, statues and small decor, light fixtures, glass pieces, pictures/ prints/ frames, a bunch of christmas items and way more. There was a whole patio area we weren't even able to look at because it was closed. I will say, unfortunately, the prices are pretty insanely steep here. It's definitely a shop where the items are antique and prices more than reflect that. There were things here and there that were more reasonable, but a majority of the items would be ridiculous to purchase unless you have a pretty sumptuous income. I do think there's room to bargain on some items, but as other reviews have noted definitely be aware of pricing if you come in here. But if nothing else it definitely makes for a very entertaining stroll around to see all there is!

Dare I say a bit snotty? Customers should be treated with respect and kindness, something I have never experienced up front. I'm not speaking of the vendors, the ones I've spoken with could not have been nicer.

It's the best place for the hot hot in the ATL. Not only is the selection amazing but the owner's…read morepricing is also reasonable. For the past year, I have been trying to make my "Spanish style" (from what I can guess previous homeowner's were going for) home more Hollywood Regency- on a bit of a budget. Other places in town have higher markups. It's not necessarily cheap but you are paying a bit more to have curated items. This is not a thrift store- but the benefit is there are so many incredible items. But I want to stress it is NOT overpriced. If you question whether something is worth the price the owner will explain why it costs as much as it does... I bought an acrylic chandelier for a VERY reasonable price- and I later saw it another place about 6 miles away for 3 times what I paid at Antique Factory... You walk in and it can be a little intimidating- it's a large, slightly dark space with countless items. They are not necessarily super friendly at first- you may not get a "hello" from someone for a while- but if you ask questions or need help they are more than willing to assist. There is a lot of stuff. They were recently trying to reorganize and tidy up the selection- I have not been in since then. I got addicted to this place. I was there every few weeks for several months... My favorite pieces in my house (a Dan Murphy sculpture that is beautiful, a large wall mural made by Finesse in the 1950s of Trojan horses, a faux bamboo Hollywood Regency armoir, a metal sea-shell wall hanging, a huge bamboo 1960s floor screen...) are all from Antique Factory.... Let yourself get lost there- touch things, walk slowly, use your creativity, let the items talk to you- you will be transported to a much more fashionable, fabulous world...

However, nowadays they know exactly what they have and the prices do reflect that. Lots of killer stuff but not as many bargains. Still a worthy visit - always.

However, what makes My Favorite Place different is that they are more flea market than consignment/antique store, and this is something that they fully embrace and own! We have popped into My Favorite Place a couple of times over the years in search of things we never knew we needed. MFP is a treasure trove of used items ranging from trinkets to furniture that are stacked from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, they even have pieces outside lining the sidewalk. To go back to the "flea market" comment, that is truly what the items here are. The store feels like one big yard sale with majority of the items simply being used and old, not really antiques or collectibles. Due to this and the way things are stacked and shelved, a lot of items are pretty beat up. They have a solid selection of furniture pieces, but again they are chipped and worn. If you are after furniture and plan to finish it yourself, then MFP is a solid option for you! Prices are fair and decent for everything in here, even the furniture. The pricing reflects the condition, so again if you are a DIY-er, then you can really find some great deals and good pieces here. Overall, My Favorite Place is a combination of over and underwhelming. Overwhelming in the way of volume of items, haphazard organization and stocking and underwhelming in the condition of items. We pop in when we are in the area, but would not go out of our way to drop by here.
