But I'm writing this review because of my nephew, the new teacher of the school, Mrs.wiled was very unprofessional and seems to maybe be racist, My nephew was in class not even a full hour after school started and one of his classmates started picking on him calling him names and even cotton picker then proceeded to slap his neck, my nephew then yelled Stop hitting me! and Mrs.Wiled then told my nephew to Shut up your being innoying, then my nephew proceeded to try and get his lick back (only because his teacher "Mrs. Wiled" didn't intervene and make him important enough to find out why he is yelling stop ). while my nephew tried to defend himself the other student ran from my nephew and then Mrs. Wiled decided to send my nephew to the office crying and told the other student who verbally and physically assaulted my nephew to have a seat and not to act that way in class I'm confused on her discipline method and I'm worried for the safety of my nephew for him being mistreated and disregarded because of favoritism and or possibly racism the way she handled the situation was wrong, Point blank. mrs. Wilde needs to apologize to my nephew and learn to treat every child no matter what race, equally, and if she's having a day where she wants to show her true colors she should have a sub fill-in for her.

Always telling me that because we learned a year ahead we were special. I never really learned until I left the reality of high school. It's so different from what I was prepared for, and I was never taught about it, so I was terrified. Even though I was never harassed in this school I always felt left out. No one really talked to me and that's kinda because the thought of grades always stuck to me and left me pretty anti-social. I was in gifted and was proud but now I'm just a burned out mess full of anxiety about little things because I was taught grades were worth more than my mental health. I'm mentally not stable anymore and people I know are the same. I'm ashamed that this school is the only thing I could ever have on my resume when I eventually get any job because I was just too focused on trying to put in so much effort that I didn't have time for anything else. Truth is, all that stress and effort got me B's at best, which made me feel absolutely useless. The lessons weren't even entertaining and I always felt like I was doing the same thing over and over again. Like a repeating process that I got sick off and wanted to leave from. This school never really stuck to me as "wow, this is a good school." It's like "oh, this is what screwed me up." Y'know? The fact that we had to wear uniforms is understandable but if I didn't have it I would get in trouble. We had to pay for wearing normal clothes as if it was a privilege and most of the time I couldn't afford it because my parents were BROKE. The only reason I got in at a young age was because of someone I knew and it's not something I'm proud of. I just don't like being put on a pedestal and gain all this pressure because of one school I went to. The only reason I got an A in my math class was because the teacher was chill about everything which made the kids go to havoc, making me feel like the only stable thing in there. Public school but they expect you to shell out money like a private school…read more I have never had a school demand money as much as this school in my entire life. They require 120 hours of community service per parent and demand that you pay cash for hours unmet. Every single event is overpriced. Still you pay for it and then they ask for donations on top of it. Principal seems to rotate every year so any ground they gain is lost the next year. Principal always pawns off issues to the Teacher and the Teacher pawns off issues to the principal. Parking is terrible and super limited but they decided last year to close out most of the parking to install solar panels during the day. Not at night, not on school break but the middle of the school year. Stay far away from this place.

Kids are marked late if they're not through the gate by 7:25, and with the long car line caused by…read morethe school's lack of space, families are forced to arrive by 7:15 just to avoid being penalized. That's misleading and takes away valuable time in the mornings that families could spend together -- and to top it off, staff stand at the gates saying "good morning" while putting kids on the late list, so their day starts with punishment instead of support.

If you are not rich and white or brown and poor…read moreyou will have a challenge.A special education teacher is one that denied my child admission because she self diagnosed my kid as ADHD after spending 6 minutes with him. My child went on to a competitive middle school (PCDS) since she had the hand in denying him admission and has now completed his semester freshmen year at PRINCETON with all A's. My neighbors kid was a member of the church and her student was denied for kindergarten because he couldn't draw a complete circle! SERIOUSLY! he is now a sophomore at BROPHY! How the diocese allows this school to deny their own based on one person's opinion is scary. So parents do not be discouraged if your child is denied admission here since they are "selective". Your child will be okay.

This is just a fantastic school. We enrolled our son here last year and I can't tell you how great…read morethe faculty, teachers, administration and community have been. This school also has many benefits that other private schools don't have, like Campus Ministry, A Counselor and A Special Ed. Coordinator who are all wonderful and truly have our child's best interest in mind. The school is also very focused on service to others and the kids treat each other and adults with respect which I have not found in many school nowadays. I highly recommend St. Francis Elementary!
