My alma mater, 1993. This is the second location for MHS which opened in the 1972 (the first campus in Hamakuapoko opened in 1913.) The 75-acre campus is very open and spacious with single story buildings all complete with courtyards in the middle, also gym, cafeteria, auto shop, and agriculture buildings, and unfortunately too many portable-style classrooms. The library, band and chorus rooms the only centrally air conditioned buildings. There's also a football practice field and outdoor basketball courts.
On my most recent visit there for the school's centennial celebration, the campus' landscaping was in horrid condition. Weeds and huge amounts of bald spots in the grass. So sad.
