I was a little excited when I saw the new business coming because the shop is about 1/4 mi from my home. Unfortunately with my past experiences with area barbers my expectations were low. I was driving by and noticed the "OPEN" sign on in the window. I parked right in front (they're located next to the Tai restaurant) I popped in and as expected beIng a Wed afternoon, they weren't busy. There was one customer in the chair and the barber said I was next. I sat and absorbed the place. First it's all freshly done, 3 or 4 unoccupied custom barber stations are along the wall. TVs litter this place, did I count 3 or 4? Lots of greys and blacks throughout, not dark, well lighted, modern and comfortable. I was up next in the chair. The young barber introduced himself as Anthony the Owner. I congratulated him on his new venture. He told me he was previously from Jerry's barber shop, he's been cutting hair for 8yrs. He was very nice and personable. He asked how I wanted my hair done and he went to work. We chatted it up quite a bit, he took his time and it was a pleasurable experience. They have yet to do the actual grand opening which will come early in Feb. They are currently cash only, I'm assuming they will take cards at some point. The men's haircut was $25, a little steep for the area, but honestly worth the cut and experience. I love seeing people going on their own and taking the risk of opening a business. Congrats to Anthony on this venture, the future is bright.
