While I was impressed with the in stock furniture and customer service when I was purchasing , my opinion changed when I had an issue with an expensive piece of outdoor furniture. I had the chair less than 30 days when it fell apart. I contacted them and was told I would receive a call back later that day which I did not get. Finally I received a call asking for pictures and serial number. I was then sent an email if I had any questions to contact them. I asked if they would replace the chair since it was practically new and I heard no response. I told them since this was a vacation home I would like to quickly resolve this as we would be closing up the house shortly. Again no response. I followed up two days later with a phone call first thing in the morning and was told the manager and her boss were there and she would call me right back with an answer which never happened. I called an hour before closing to see what the answer was and I was told by the manager what did I expect! It was her birthday and a holiday weekend plus they were busy all day with customers. I guess once they have your money you are no longer a customer. To make matters worse the manager said in his opinion I should apologize to the sales person because he felt I was being unreasonable. Really! All I wanted was answers not attitude. Will be purchasing the rest of my furniture somewhere else.

It was difficult to get them on the phone while waiting, so we had to go back to the store for updates. When it was delivered the drawer was broken, the wood rail inside was splintered. The delivery guy said he was NOT skilled in repair, but he jammed a few screws in the wood and the drawer worked. He said to call the office and they would send someone out. If I had gotten a great price I may have let it go, but we PAID full price. I did call, and they explained they had a death in the family. They lost their repair guy, so rather than screw around he said he would order me a new dresser and replace it. I offered him to refund me a small amount on the dresser and I would hire my own repair guy. He declined and said I should get a new one. That was over a year ago. We never got it. Several calls were not returned. From our experience, they have coastal furniture, just don't expect discounts, timely delivery, or follow up service. You get what you get.

What really stands out is that if something says it's in stock online, it's actually there in the store. That might seem like a small thing, but for me, it's huge. There's nothing more frustrating than making the trip to a store, only to find out the item you need isn't available. Somerset's Target gets it right, and that reliability keeps me coming back. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and always stocked with new items. The clothing section is a standout--everything is in order, the selection is great, and they consistently have smaller sizes like smalls and extra smalls, which is practically a miracle. On my most recent trip, I picked up winter boots, tights, and new undershirts, all of which were exactly what I needed. For basic wardrobe essentials, this is the place to go, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting. It's not bargain-basement cheap, but the value is there--these are items that will last, which makes them well worth the price. The makeup department is another highlight. Some stuff is just outside collecting water from the rainstorms and the rest occupies two huge buildings with many interconnected rooms. I think I had a nightmare like this once. It really is an incredible place and if you are willing to put in the time you might find something you want or need. Lots of furniture from all eras in various levels of condition, tons of glassware, outdoor decor, cookware, and fading framed photos. My wife and I had a lot of fun looking through everything. Their prices are all over the place. Sometimes they are marked with reasonable prices and other times they are asking outrageous amounts for junk. Don't be afraid to bargain though as they cut me a decent deal for the random piece of glass countertop I found. My favorite finds for my particular visit were the 20 framed copies of a purple glitches Mona Lisa, and the bin FULL of uncarved keys organized by type.

I called the night before to ask how far from Marmora as far as drive time and she told me to Google it. It's 7 miles from the town I was vacationing in, I would think she'd have some idea. She also didn't know for sure if she would close at 5 or 5:30. When I visited there was no customer service at all. An open door which I believe went to living quarters was cluttered and someone was dealing with a fussy kid. Pricing was weird. Sign outside said 50%. Inside each handwritten tag had prices crossed off. A used nothing special apron had $12 crossed off than $7, than $2, so was half price off the 2? I have no idea if this thrift stores benefits the community in any way or is for profit. Felt like a hoarder opened their home and hoped to make some loot doing so. As a reseller I rarely leave empty handed. Here I did and couldn't wait to sanitize said hands!
