These goes go over state lines and tell you you do not have to pay tax, but actually you do. They also offer handyman services that are less than honest. We paid a large deposit on something and he came twice, once for 3 hours, one for 1.... painting approx 70 feet of a 750 sq ft deck. Buyer Beware.

We ordered a microwave, dishwasher and stove/oven range and at the time of order were told everything was in stock except the range - and the range would be available the following Wednesday. We were also told by Alex that delivery would be free but that installation would be $150. We scheduled the delivery/installation for the following Thursday. When the installers arrived they had no record of a range on their order and also tried to charge us $200 for installation because they are "subcontractors" and don't actually work for Larry and Alleys. After contacting L&A, Alex again informed us that now the stove/oven range was on a backorder again and that he confirmed it would arrive the following Wednesday to avoid interruption because I have a newborn at home. He scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 3:00pm after the delivery of the range to their facilities. We took off work (again) and waited, and waited. Not only did we NOT receive a phone call from them to reschedule our appointment or update us, but when we contacted back they informed us that they had no record of a range being purchased (although our card had already been charged now a week and a half prior). After much back and forth we asked to speak to a manager or owner and were transferred to "Harry". This man may be the owner, but he acted like he could care less about our business and said if we want a refund then hell give a refund but had a "tough luck" attitude the entire conversation. His attitude and lack of customer service is why I would never recommend purchasing from this facility again. We are still waiting to hear back from them prior to contesting the entire charge. Absolutely ridiculous.

My husband fixed it, but in order to do so it made it so we would not be able to add or remove the sleeves to extend it. We went through a furniture store and they were terrible and offered no support. The internet didn't exist and we never thought of contacting Hooker directly. Years later we purchased a bed locally and it was great. Fast forwarding to 2022 I purchased two Hooker Corsica bachelors chests as nightstands to match our original wood Corsica bed. I have been dreaming over them for years. They totally changed the original color from warm browns to cool grays. They are heavy duty and beautiful. They need to update the photos and description of the color. They went front warm natural brown to a very cool grey. To vary is normal, but this extreme color is another thing. It doesn't match the Corsica bed it designed to go with. I recommend only shopping If you live in the same state as them (Virginia), or from a store that has actual pieces in stock. Now mix and matching is a thing as far as color, but cool and the warm left me disappointed. I also had to take the back off the nightstand as the Furnlite installed was assembled too tight and caused it to be disconnected. I was able to fix it but once on its side we had to fix some feet issues as well. Our nightstands weight 114lbs each and boxed gross weight was 140lbs. Nicely packed! We did get a discount to keep them. Not sure if it was from Hooker or the furniture store we purchased them from.

My Hooker Curata table base started peeling and they did not cover it!!! The table is only a year old! The biggest scam company ever and don't stand behind their work! They find every loophole not to cover your furniture. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Will never buy Hooker Furniture or Guardsman Insurance again!!! I had to spend hours trying to get this covered and now can't find a furniture repair man to fix it...nobody wants to touch it and be responsible.
