***Delivery Crew Danger***…read more I have achieved a new level of anger this evening, at the ineffective and lazy delivery men of AFW. On top of them throwing my couches, damaging my walls, being insanely rude to my wife, cursing, intimidating my wife about having to take pieces of our couch up a flight of stairs, and complaining the whole time they were here, I have now discovered that the American Furniture Warehouse delivery men helped me achieve a new level of CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION, by not even actually assembling the couch! Please tell me what was the purpose of the delivery?! What the actual fudge is the delivery fee for?! I only discovered this after I heard squeaking and grinding as we tried to recline and sit. And when I pulled on the top of the seats they all came apart. I have no idea if there is damage now and I cant begin to express my anger enough. This is the 2nd time AFW has failed massively. I realized as i came here to leave this review they botched our delivery for my daughter's bedroom set 4 & 1/2 years ago. I had forgotten that, and inadvertently i have given them another chance. Its good to see they consistently fail. My mistake. Smh.

I was quite concerned about getting the measurements right, so that the new mattress would fit on my existing foundation/box springs. I also wanted to purchase a complete full-sized bedset (mattress/foundation/frame) for my guest room that would fit on an area rug that I had already purchased. Josh and Clayton were very helpful in making sure I had the right size(s), and they were very helpful with my purchases in general, making sure I purchased what I wanted (and not what I didn't want). Also, I was in and out of the store pretty quickly, no waiting or delays. For my bed, I bought a pre-owned Queen-sized Garrison Legends Extra Firm Mattress for half price (normally about $3k). For the guest room, I needed a complete bedset, and I purchased a PressureSmart Firm Mattress (Full), with foundation and frame, and mattress protector (about $900, all told). For my new queen-sized mattress, I also purchased the Supreme Comfort Queen Bundle with Queen Pillows, which included very nice pillows made of memory foam and sheet set with pillow cases, all made from bamboo; very nice. This was about $400, which I believe was another pricing special. We arranged for delivery about 10 days/two weeks out on a day I could be home, and everything went as planned. I received a text the night before indicating that the delivery would take place between 930 and 1130 am the next day; and the delivery crew showed up right at 930. The delivery crew was very efficient and careful, and took away my old mattress, and installed the new queen mattress where it had been; and then they completed the fabrication and installation of my full-sized bedset in the guest room. And, they were done very quickly, in about 10 minutes. My sleep quality has significantly improved with my new Queen-sized Garrison Legends Extra Firm Mattress. THEY CAN LITERALLY BUILD A 1/2 and 1/2! -90 day comfort guarantee. They want you to LOVE your mattress. I tried out different mattresses and learned that the company would custom make the one I picked. Unfortunately, I didn't want to wait the nearly 2 weeks for it to be made. Heather checked the computer and found one that had the base of the less expensive mattress but the cushy cloud top of the more expensive one I liked. Perfect! Paid for it and it would be delivered for free in 2 days. Delivery came as expected and the 2 guys were great. They even moved our previous mattress to our kid's room. (So helpful because seeing them struggle with it makes me pretty sure my husband and I would have had issues.) Main thing now is that the bed feels VERY FIRM.... Nothing like the cushy cloud I was expecting. I was ready to call them and tell them we didn't want this one. Will give it the 90 days. (Sigh) I was really expecting that fluffy one. Who knows, if it doesn't soften up, we might have to exchange it for that top of the line one that felt like heaven with a hefty price tag. Despite me not LOVING the mattress yet... I know I'll eventually find the one for me. The customer service alone is 5-star.

I get it -- there's no lunch hour when you are a salesperson. But damn, guys! If you didn't try to upsell so much, we could've been out of there, an you would've had a commission ... and your Taco Bell! Bottom line: We thanked our guy and let him know that we were still looking (we ended up buying elsewhere). He was polite.
