In shopping for a mattress, I did my homework first exploring ratings on mattresses as well as…read more suitable places. Haywood Bedding advertised great discounts, specifically for cash and carry. In addition, any purchase over $599 gave the customer their choice of free delivery, pillows, or a bed frame. I like to shop local businesses so this looked perfect. I found a mattress and foundation set that was perfect with a small (12%) discount. I was to be charged $69.00 for delivery. When I referred to the ad, Danny said that he hadn't looked at the website. I called later to make arrangements and asked that if I paid for delivery, I'd like the bedframe. They called me back to tell me that that ad was supposed to have been pulled! They would give me the bedframe but I would still have to pay for delivery and would get no discount on the mattress set. Do these people not realize that: a) False advertising is subject to penalties and b) It was such an incredibly dumb move to work at losing a customer instantly that it doesn't even rise to the level of bad business. After I heard Haywood's terms, I went to another store and bought the same mattress set. Yes, they are new in town and offered me both free delivery and a bedframe in addition to fair pricing.

On each price tag, the dollar amount was crossed off, but that was it- another, cheaper price was not printed below. To find out the sale price, you had to ask a sales associate. This felt underhanded to us. I found it strange that a table decoration that was essentially a birdhouse was about $120.00. Even assuming that half the price might be slashed off, I still could not afford that price. Nothing in the place was priced reasonably, crossed out or not. When we had first walked in, an employee had told me that everything in the place was going because the whole store was to restocked with new furnishings in a few days. Noticing that the place was jam-packed with furniture as I ambled around, I had questions. There were no empty spaces left behind by bought items. There were no "sold" signs on items. How could the new stuff fit in this place if the old stuff was still present?! The too-quietness of the store added to my nagging state. When I caught up with my husband, I asked how we would make our escape. Days after our escape, I remembered how I had read years ago that furniture stores have pretend liquidation sales in order to bring customers in. If they were just straight up, I would be lying down on a couch that I had purchased from them.

We found them to be very knowledgeable and interested in helping us make a good decisions. We wound up going with two king beds, some beautiful barrel chairs, and a sleeper sofa, and I think some other items but I don't remember what they are right now. Every time we went in, we were greeted pleasantly, and we always felt they had our best interest at heart. I am very critical of customer service and so I tend to go where People treat us well. We tried to explain to him that he owed her $20 not $10.69. Noah continued to get frustrated while another employee managed to get him some change but he argued with us that he didn't owe anything back. We explained that he did owe her $9.31. Noah "I'm so fucking tired of impatient people" and angrily handed my Neice her change as we all stood there stunned. The lady who was helping told him to just do a refund because she asked if I could pay with a card. ( I told her yes) He then proceeded to do the refund and gave me a 10-dollar bill back and some change then to give it back to pay for my skirt. I then told him I paid with a $20 so I would still need my change back. (This was the issue to start with) He started getting more upset and looked at me and said "I'm tired of dealing with all these f***ing impatient people. I was absolutely stunned. Not once was I rude or impatient with him. I looked at him and did not expect my change because I didn't even know how to respond. I was upset so I snatched my change as he kept mumbling about how impatient we were. My mom and Aunt and I also told him how rude and ridiculous he just acted. My aunt then said that we will contact someone for his awful behavior which he replied with "good, I do not give a shit". I am not the one to write about any service good or bad but I felt very disrespected. Maybe if I were being rude or impatient I could see how I could have made him act like this but I did none of the sort. First off, selection here: great. They have a whole bunch of stuff, from beds (not in the market) to recliners (still debating on) and couches (didn't know I was potentially in the market until this afternoon)...and, of course, the dining room sets including chairs I was looking for. Price was fair (not quite FB marketplace/NextDoor/CL cheap, but cheap), and then add same-day delivery and fantastic service make this place a great place to look for your furniture needs.
