I was allowed to return the original recliner and exchange it for one at the same price. Of course…read morethey only had one. All others were a lot more expensive. Well, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! The replacement has been in our house a very little while. I wanted to like it, I really did. Already it has problems. The frame is wood covered with a thin layer of foam and cloth. Not at all comfortable! When you sit down it sounds like nails are catching on the upholstery material. Hello, I'm the sick feeling you have when you realize you have been manipulated and have made a…read more$5500 mistake by trusting a Mathis representative. The facts: 2 weeks after purchasing on May 15, 3021 a long awaited new adjustable frame and mattress, I knew the mattress would have to be exchanged because it was too firm, and was led to believe it wouldn't be a problem, by the salesman. Here we go..."No, you must keep it for 30 days before a conversation can even happen." Mid-June--same salesman: "ok, no problem -I'll contact my boss and get the paperwork rolling." Today-mid July, we call, same salesman: We ask the status and he asks "what IS the status?", we remind him he was supposed to talk to his boss. "OH YES! I did and he says we can't replace them! I'll have to go up the chain, but someone might be on vacation right now, and uh.....". Meanwhile, THIS nurse who has worked 20 years in a large local hospital, with literally a crumbling spine, hasn't slept on her $5500 mattress for the 2 months it's been in her possession. Great way to treat your front line Covid heroes Mathis brothers! I'm a better nurse than you are at customer service. Buyer BEWARE!
