Secondly, because service is speedy and efficient and more German than Italian (think BMW not Alfa Romeo). Thirdly, the owner has an immaculately groomed moustache and is such a likeable fellow he will engage anyone in conversation. Fourth, it's unpretentious and after the first visit you're treated like a regular. A very affable service with a personal touch. This place really does remind me of Italy. When you're done eating and drinking here you can head out to the deli and purchase yourself some of the ingredients to take back home with you. There's another more upmarket version of Fratelli's (same franchise) in nearby Stamford but I prefer this one because it's as laid back as eating at your Mama's. Fantastico.

Great with some red wine. The cost of dining at Topo's is very reasonable with my Calzone around £8. Overall, even the though the place might look a bit dated, you'll forgive that for the warm welcome and great food served here.
