There was also an area by the front door that was an uneven concrete mess with big gaps between the brick and concrete. He came out to attempt to fix these issues . He advised me that I should just have the concrete painted to cover up the uneven color, which will result in more money out of pocket for me, to cover up shoddy work He claims he "fixed" the uneven area by the door. It now looks worse, with different color, texture and a raised area. I have had painters in to look at painting the concrete. They have expressed concern that the "fix" in the front will likely look worse when painted, much like a big drywall patch would look if not smoothed and sanded. I reached out to Skip about trying to rectify this problem area and he just said "Sorry". Claims he did all could do. I'm now stuck with additional expenditures to attempt to correct a giant eyesore in the middle of my entry

JBS paving came out in April and paved our driveway and the contract included a concrete pad. They…read moreused a subcontractor who did an awful job but JBS won't take responsibility for the work and insists they are too busy on other jobs to even come look at it. The concrete pad is visibly unlevel and not long enough. They left the forms around it and rebar still in place. There is a pile of concrete next to the pad that still has their boot prints in it. We have contacted them multiple times over the last few months with no resolution although they happily took the money we paid.

The crew has caused SIGNIFICANT damage to my brand new privacy fence on multiple sides, they have also damaged my mailbox, cut my water hose in half, and broken my plastic gutter run offs. When bringing this to the service providers attention they sounded very upset and sounded like they wanted to help me. Then I received a call from Jason Cory, the company owner. This was the most unprofessional and unreasonable company owner/representative I have ever come into contact with. When I sent him videos showing the damage caused by his crew he told me that the damage to my fence was not that big of a deal. I gave him a comparison of buying a new car, and paying someone to clean it, only to find-out that person left a huge dent in your car and Jason Cory said that this is different... Lets clarify, I paid for a service on my yard, your team damaged my property in places where there isnt even grass growing. I let him know its completely unacceptable for the damage to be done to my property whenIm paying for a service. Jason Cory told me that because of their equipment there is nothing they can do to avoid doing damage to my property unless I pay him for putting in a buffer to prevent this issue from happening again... THIS IS AFTER THE DAMAGE IS DONE. I told him that it was unacceptable and he should expect legal action if my property was not repaired as it was before. HE THEN SAID "GOOD DO IT" AND CALLED ME CRAZY. Im paying for a service and expect it to be done without damage to my property, apparently Dogwood Landscaping, nor Jason Cory thinks thats acceptable. Jason Cory even went as far to tell me that I do not know what Im talking about, and I could not last an hour on one of his trucks and that I should not care about the quality, since my mother pays for the lawn service which is an annual Christmas present from her. Long story short, they have caused extensive damage to my property around my house, refuse to take blame or replace it, and when I address it I am called crazy by the company owner Jason Cory.

We were able to relocate/preserve a variety of bushes to clear out the space, addressed drainage challenges and created a beautiful new outdoor space, including a 21x25 main area with a 13' circular area attached to one corner for a freestanding fire pit. We combined this project with an unrelated sink hole issue and were able to utilize excavated dirt as partial fill for the hole. They strived to economize where possible, despite some minor unexpected challenges; in the end the +'s and -'s to the estimate were fair and reasonable. After 3 weeks we remain thrilled.

We paid the owner, Mark, $500 for design ideas for our very small, flat front yard. Mark likes a…read moreyard full of Knock Out Roses, I don't, but he included them in his plan anyway along with a rock wall ?? crossing the yard and other ideas we had already vetoed. He then sent his son to remove 5 Buford Holly stumps for which he charged $800 (we paid someone else to remove what the son missed). We gave the son a check for $800 which he scanned and tried to deposit online. The check didn't clear because the son's scan did not include the check's routing number or account number. A very irate dad called to let me know that the check we gave to his son, a struggling college student, didn't clear. Dad didn't mention that the son didn't know how to deposit a check. The check was good and did clear when done properly. I offered him cash if he returned the check, but he didn't want to do that, he only wanted to blame us for his son's incompetence. From then on, he was very hostile, but we had already paid him $500 for his "plan". Months later we got the plan on a big piece of paper.
