He did very good with me and my friends piercings and he's very affordable! Only costed $30

He is in my opinion, the most talented tattoo artist around. He talks and makes you feel so comfortable. Ive got 4 tattoos and 3 piercings from him, and I dont plan on wcer choosing another artist! The shop is clean and he is very clean. I absolutely recommend him for your piercing and tattoo needs! read more

I cannot thank Matthew's enough. I have been wanting a new tattoo for some time and since I have been in Johnstown more times than not lately I decided to give Matthew's a try. The day I arrived I had an idea of what I wanted but it wasn't set in stone just yet. I wanted lettering done in the old looking typewriter format. I searched their books to find the one that was closest to the format. I found ideally what I wanted and even though I was a walk in, I was in the waiting room within minutes. The size of my tattoo was small, so they were able to fit me in. I appreciate that. The waiting room is a bit confusing right now. They are in the middle of updating it to make it look less like a waiting room. While you wait you can do the usual and read a magazine or play around on your phone. Or if you like, walk around their taxidermy room. Yes, that's right, they have a taxidermy room. How awkwardly cool is that? The skulls are pretty awesome, especially the ones that have designs painted on them. Talk about different and one of a kind, this truly is an example of that. Once back in the chair things went rather smoothly. My anxiety was put at ease at how fast and efficient they work. Everything was done in what seemed like mere minutes to me. This being my eighth tattoo and by far the least complicated and smallest in size. I was very pleased to say the least. On my way out I stopped and looked at the jewelry they had for piercing and ended up picking up a hemp oil based balm to help with my tattoo. **For better clarification of what they can and cannot do, check out their website.** read more

Thank you Michael for accommodating the 5 of us for a family affair. All 6 tattoos are so beautiful and we had a great time. We also got 3 piercings. Be sure to call at in advance for an appointment. Shop is very clean. A very enjoyable experience for all of us!! read more

DO NOT GET A TATTOO HERE!!!! They are a bunch of crooks!! Paid $90 for a small yin yang tattoo that is less than 3 inches wide and the guy (I believe it was his son) messed up my tattoo while tracing around the circle and said NOTHING about it. And the color faded very quickly. Please don't make the same mistake I did by trusting these people. read more

I've came here for multiple tattoos for both myself and friends and we're always satisfied with the results and the customer service. Highly recommend for your first tattoo. Everyone here is chill. read more

Great shop. Work is top notch and prices are reasonable. Clean environment. Never been disappointed with any work I've got done here.

I can not say enough about this place. Want to get tattoos and piercings you must go here. Sterile, professional, and they have a wonderful sense of calming the nerves. Prices are exceptional and the quality of work is unbeatable! read more

Michael is amazing! He takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. I have gotten all eight of my tattoos from him and have never been disappointed! Clean environment. Lots of flash boards for ideas and love his fish tank and taxidermy. People say he is expensive but I say with a tattoo you get what you pay for!!! I will pay more for a quality tattoo that will last me a life time!!! read more

I had a very nice piece done by Michael Pearson five years ago and I still love it. I want to get a re-work/add on piece done sometime soon of some work I got a long time ago at a different shop. I was treated with respect and felt confident through the entire process and plan to get more work from this shop over time. read more

Michael and the rest of the crew is absolutely amazing at everything from piercings to tattoos. They have a great crew working and every one is always so nice especially when I went there. I was terrified and they calmed me down which a lot of people actually don't do but so anyways I highly recommend going to Matthews's Party Tattoo and Body Piercing. read more

This is the only place that I will get tattooed! I made the mistake of going elsewhere about a year back because Matthew's was closed that day,and I was being impatient; I've never regretted anything more. I've been tattooed by both Michael and Zion and I'm comfortable with both. The prices are decent, and you get what you pay for; the work here is amazing. read more

This place is great. They are clean, sterile, and professional. I've been here for several piercings and was very please every time. I have no complaints, nor have I heard anything but good comments from others who have visited here. read more

Horrible customer service, they charge for touch ups, they don't care a bout their Consumer, all they want is to take your money to pay his bills, i spent well over 1k in this shop and i was treated like garbage for asking if he could take a few dollars less then what he said it would be, as a loyal customer, and i got told rudely to leave, his work is good, but he lacks customer appreciation. read more

I've gotten seven piercings and three tattoos done here, and have been 100% satisfied every single time. Michael does amazing work, and I would never want to go anywhere else. He's very nice and easy to talk to, and he also gives great after care advice. Very clean and professional. He also has over 300 different ink colors to choose from, pretty much any color you could imgine. Definitely the best! read more

I went here twice, both for piercings. Both times my piercings got infected no matter how I cleaned them, how much, or what I used. The first time I went there, I got my nose pierced and Michael didn't give me any warnings or information. He just went to town roughly cleaning my nose and when I flinched from not knowing what was about to happen and the sheer force he used, he got an attitude with me and told me if I wouldn't sit still, he wouldn't do any work on me. He never showed me the jewlery either time or the needle to assure me it was all clean, which is partly my fault for not asking. But he should be on top of this, providing information and making clients feel at ease. The second time I went there to get my lip pierced because I thought maybe I did something wrong with my nose piercing to cause it to get infected. Nope. Same thing happend to my lip. And this was my second lip piercing (spider bites) so I know what to expect from it and how to take care of it and it still got infected. I don't see what everyone loves about this place. I want to go somewhere I feel comfortable, not somewhere where I'm going to be treated like a nuisance. Chuck at Screaming Needle is the best and will remian to be my tattooer/piercer. read more
