We did not realize what a great Dental practice was until we experiences the service provided here. Every aspect of this friendly home town office turned out to be a pleasure not often found today. The staff professionally preforms their tasks from the services provided, to the explanation of billing. I was extremely depressed after the unexpected passing of my father during COVID and having a hard time taking care of myself (my bad) but what really put me off was when Dr. Scherer told me that wasn't an excuse and I needed to "put my big girl pants on," same visit- some of the ortho assistants were huddled around a computer surrounded by MY picture talking about how disgusting & ugly I looked and making fun of me. The only reason I knew it was me is they surround a picture of yourself with your progress. Like imagine looking over and hearing that? What are you, high schoolers? Also- their treatment plans are super unorganized and they don't communicate with each other. Had Dr. Scherer tell me on a visit to only wear my bands at night, then on my next visit a dental assistant told me that I was lying, and continued to gaslight me when I showed her the notes I had taken from the previous appointment (which I started doing because this wasn't the first time it had happened) and another Dr- Amy then told me I needed to wear them all the time. I didn't have buttons that weren't changed on the invisalign plan removed and replaced and had tooth decay so bad under one I had to get a core & crown done (another $700 with insurance) This was just my experience- but they also messed up my little brother's teeth with his expander by giving him care too early so he now needs braces to fix the gap in his teeth they caused. My sister was called racial slurs by the assistants. I would not trust Dr. Wax to take care of your family's orthodontic work. My entire family had a horrible experience here and now needs even more work done- not just orthodontic, but dental that's costing even more.

Husband and wife duo I was in that chair for 4 hrs for tooth 14 and I shared with the doctor I had breast cancer. During the procedure all of a sudden the doctor started X-rays I asked her why are you x-ray me and her reply was she broke her instrument in side of my tooth and that she was unable to get it out and that I should have read the disclaimer then she said that these things happen. I asked her want that cause a infection and her response was that it may cause a infection and maybe not. Tears stream from my eyes. I asked her why would she do that to me and I have to get my tooth out and she said it's up to me and that her husband do the extraction he comes in cracking jokes saying that tooth is swimming with the fish. Everyone was…read moreprofessional and extremely pleasant, knew their jobs, put my husband, who hadn't been to the dentist in oh...20 years, at ease right away, and we were in and out without being rushed at all. One of the best parts is, with so many offices quitting participation with Delta Dental Michigan, this office still participates so that was a big win! Husband needs a couple crowns, the price is good and we'll be moving forward with them to do the work. Very nice, clean office, we're really happy!!
