Once I woke up and got up, I sent a foggy email to the office explaining I might not make it in. After the seizure, I had my typical aftermath of a giant migraine and extreme exhaustion/tiredness. Both Chera (paralegal) and Chris (attorney) emailed me and called me several times, of which I slept through. Then I heard a doorbell ring and a bunch of loud knocking at my door. I woke up and then heard the phone ringing. I answered it. It was Chera letting me know that my attorney was at my door to make sure I was okay, alive, and seeing if I needed medical assistance. They were so worried about me! I felt so amazingly honored, (embarrassed), and felt so special to receive such caring from my law firm. I am quite certain this is not common practice!! After my visit, both Chris and Chera followed up with me and double-checked to ensure I did not need anything further. Another compassionate example is that Chera constantly checked on me when my Mom was suffering from brain cancer and then again when she entered hospice care. Chera truly supported me throughout this awful time in my life. She did not have to do that. She is just that awesome. Chris, Chera, and Nastia handled emails and calls well out of office hours. This office never stops working on the case until they win. They truly go beyond the call of duty, always. This firm has wiped out entire families retirement accounts, home equity and destroyed generational wealth for profit. Their collections practices are aggressive and unforgiving regardless of the situation. The guy would sell his soul for a buck. Atrium stopped this practice a short time ago probably due to the bad press they have received. They are one of the few hospital chains that do this due to the unsavory nature of it. But there are thousands of people in the NC that's lives have been completely destroyed during the most difficult time of their life so they could give millions dollar bonuses to their executives and pay Mr Mcintosh's fees.

For me, lawyers have been condescending, cold, not empathetic, pompous, pilfering, etc. An attorney is supposed to make you feel better. You should feel like someone has your back. That your confident that the attorney will do their job. If your being bullied, etc. The attorney is suppose to stop the bullying. When the attorney does nothing it makes you feel worse (you already feel horrible, scared, etc). Normally you pay upfront for their service. Now, you feel like your money was stolen from the attorney. It usually is a large amount of money. doesn't matter how much money is paid. i'm a poverty person. an attorney stole my money. no problem stealing from the poor. The job wasn't done and it made u feel worse. An attorney not returning your calls. you could do a call every other day. the attorney doesn't return your call. that makes you feel, worse, worried (is the attorney going to do the job correctly and communicate with me), you may be ripped off, distressed, etc. An attorney has the label "counselor". Just like going to a social worker for "counseling".
