Over the years they have fixed numerous pieces of equipment for me, from chainsaws to snowblowers. Sometimes the estimate is free, other times there may be a fee but they always tell me when I drop off. Repairs can be expensive, and may not be worth it if you have a cheap item like a weed whacker. Zero stars as of right now! Buy a dirt bike on 12/24 and get it home to find out it doesn't fire up. Call back that evening and they say keep it until 12/26 because no ones in to look at it. Well the 26th comes and no mechanic even though they said the 26th. So I call on 27th and they say bring it in mechanic/owner is here til 5 and he'll check it out. Well get here at 3:10pm and they take bike into shop area for 20 mins to come out front and tell me oh he left prolly won't be until tomorrow! Then why did you say yea bring it in now and we will look at it! So now not only did they sell Me a bike that doesn't work but they also don't want to even attempt to fix or make it right!!!! Meanwhile the 12 yr old who it was purchased for has an expensive paper weight to look at! Where has actual customer service went in todays time??? Beyond pissed! read more

Took a Baja min bike chain in to get a replacement chain. They were able to match the chain up so I asked for two. It was a total price of $33 and some change (also two master links). I got home and put the first one with no issues. I went to put the second one on and the link would not fit. I called and told them what happened and they said to bring it back in for a replacement. I got there and he was unable to match it up with the other chain he sold me (which I brought in the part that was excess) and he tried to tell me they both came off the same reel. Then he said he would not refund me my money and I explained (now with other customers waiting) that it was not my fault he sold me a different chain than the original one so he said he would give me $10. I reluctantly took it. I do not recommend this business as it seems they are not concerned with the customers satisfaction. They have alot of parts I would have considered purchasing for my mini bike but now I will take my business elsewhere! Dennis read more

I had a Craftsman lawn tractor giving me all sorts of problems. It had bad belts, messed up carburator, and flat back tire. I had a buddy of mine recommend this place, and let me tell you on how AWESOME the service was. I took it to them and talked to Johnny and told him all of the problems I was having with the tractor. Johnny told me it would take a week or so to get the tractor back. He even called me before he begun tearing it all apart with an estimate! While going over the estimate he told me that my blades looked a little beat up, so compared the prices between them and Lowe's; I was blown away at how low Matteson's prices were and immedtiately told him to put the ones on. The honesty and relability were top notch and I will alway recommed people to these guys! read more

I took a weed whacker here to get an estimate. He wanted $129 to fix it. Weedwacker value approximately $139. I said no thank you I'll just take my weed wacker home. He asked if I wanted him to keep it. Of course I said no. When I went to pick it up he charged me $29 and some odd cents for the estimate. Won't be going back to this place ever again. read more
