The quality of the DVD was good considering that the tape was already in pretty bad shape. We used the disc during our 25th wedding anniversary celebration and people got to enjoy it all over again. They said my cd player is defective so I bought a new one...same flickering results. I can't return to have new cds made because the old 35 mm film was destroyed. I threw away $700 for crappy film transfer work. If you go here, scrutinize their work. Obviously no one monitors the ongoing transfer so it's on the consumer to get good film transfers.

Instead, River City Silver will have your photos printed in the highest definition possible, will tweak the settings to make sure it looks good, and even puts a border around the photos, suitable for framing. Not only did…read more Kim do an outstanding job, of transferring the audio and video, from a 20 year old VHS, to two different digital formats, MP4 and MOV, she first had to salvage the heat and pressure damaged cassette. This forgotten VHS cassette had been resting, in the bottom, of a box, that had been stored, in a garage in Hawaii, for six years and then a garage, in Texas for 13 years. When I saw the resulting heat and pressure damage, I thought the tape was a total loss. But Kim came to the rescue, first transferring the original tape, to a new cassette, and then copying its content to digital formats. Mahalo nui loa, Kim! You did a great job.
