She was friendly and truly wanted to make things right for me. She also had explained their organization process and that this is typically not something that occurs for them. Poor communication on turnaround time, digital copies are constantly cropped wrong/cut off, and consistently cutting film when directed not to. This has happened countless times. read more

I'll never order from here again. Their communication is poor, and their employees aren't on the same page regarding their fees or turnaround timeframes. Took a digital camera to be developed because one employee stated a rush fee was needed by 3pm and we could receive photos same day, so we paid and the fees and timeframe completely changed. read more

I've gotten 15+ rolls of film developed here and have been impressed with every single one. The development is consistent and the folks doing the color grading and scanning do a great job with the images you get back. The communication combined with quick turn around has made me look forward to dropping off film and getting prints made. It is about 20-30% more expensive than some other development services but in my opinion it's been worth the price. If you shoot film regularly they are worth a chance as a great local Texas lab. read more

My family found letters my father wrote to his parents and film negatives from pictures he took during World War 2. The negatives has been in a box since 1946. I took the rolls here. I was told by another place they could not be developed because they had been in to much light, sounded like BS to me. I took them here next. I was helped by the young lady with the fuzzy hair, forgot her name. She was great. She said it would not be a problem. I had 154. She asked to give them a week because of the number and some may have scratches. She asked if I wanted matt or gloss. I had no idea and told her what she judged best, and left it at that. 4 days later they were done and zero scratches. If we come across any more this will be my first and only stop. Great place and I apologise to the fuzzy hair girl for not mentioning her by name. read more

Found some 20 year old, undeveloped 35mm film in my closet. They processed the film negatives first to see if there were pics to be developed, 2/3 rolls were good and they develop them for film. Service that exceeded expectations is a good way to summarize my experience. I was very pleased to find a place in San Antonio that processes color film and their prices are in line with everyone else but you save the postage. They have a drive thru so not only is it convenient but enables sovial distancing. I dropped my first roll of film off at 11am, guy at the window took my info and suggested it would probably wait till tomorrow for development- about an hour later I got an e-mail saying it was ready! I went and picked up my film which was wonderfully developed. I used to work in a film lab years ago s and first think I looked for was any issues with the negatives- they were nice and clean with no scratches from processing. Love this location and the staff, they are very informative and is the only place left in San Antonio that print 35mm film! So naturally I went and at first purchased a bundle they offer to have your 35mm pints imported onto a DVD, was such a great service that I kept going back until all my film was printed. The front desk admins were very courteous and did not try to up-sale me anything, they did their job and were very prompt and gave me that great service with a smile. Amanda is an absolute treasure! I have a piece of glass advertising from my many-great grandparents' store that is well over a century old, and I wanted to make a copy for my sister to have as well. I carried the precious family piece up to Digital Pro Lab and they came through beautifully with a high resolution image printed on durable acrylic, one for my sister and one for me. Now I can lock the piece of history away but still enjoy seeing it hanging in my kitchen. I know this was an challenge due to the project's unusual shape and size, not to mention its age, but everyone at Digital Pro Lab was excellent to deal with. Over charge and under preformed. My elderly mother had brought in a photo to be "professional scanned" the service claims to include editing and touch ups. The photo instead was just scanned and zero editing. I spent 5 minutes in photoshop to fix. The kicker is they charged 2x what the website claimed to my elderly mother. The photo was being used go be lazer etched into a granite grave stone for my father who just passed. It was very sub par work and drastically over charged even based on their own websites listed prices for this exact service which wasn't rendered. read more

I'm a semi-pro photographer and appreciate the level of experience and advice the staff provides to help me provide the best product to my client. I was visiting San Antonio and needed a one-hour film developing and processing (C-41) service. I found Photo Express DPL to accomplish that task. I don't remember if they process medium format film in an hour though. I had some 35mm film with the sprockets exposed taken with my Diana camera, and they were able to develop the film, but were not able to scan the film with sprockets visible. They have different scanning options a medium and high quality. They do have a lot of digital imaging processing, but I'm still shooting with film and was happy that they were able to process and print my images with vibrant colors. read more

Now a days it is hard to find a great photo lab that does almost everything, especially when you need something other than a 4x6 or 5x7. I was in need of making a small print (roughly 3x2) from a 8x10 photo. I ran around San Antonio from Walgreens, CVS, Walmart and HEB to find they only had the kiosk that made horrible, pixelated prints and cropping just a portion of the photo. This was the only photo studio I found close by that could do the job. Went in asking if they could develop my photo and they said it would be ready Monday. I needed it Sunday and was willing to pick up Saturday but they do not count the weekends as working business days. With a little extra money, they were willing to develop the photos day of. All in all, I was able to get my photos within 5 hours and the picture quality was fabulous. They even corrected the color of my photo with no extra charge. I was able to get two prints of the size that I wanted 3x2 for about $13. I would say that is a bit pricey, but same day service for a great quality I can't complain. read more

I took some film to this lab for developing. When I picked it up from the lab, the film was completely ruined. They opened the film canister in the light and exposed the film, ruining it. Do not take film to this place for developing. They cannot be trusted with your product. Beware. read more

Walked in to inquire about prices for 15 4x6 photos and 5 5x7 photos I had on my cellphone. The female clerk who served me was very rude and short with me. The prices are 3 times that of Walgreens and the entire store and staff had a very snobby vibe so I left. Their services may be good, I dont know because the staff and vibe of the store did not feel welcoming so I left, I guess I will never know. Walgreens offers the same exact products for a third of the price. read more

My photos are printed in a timely fashion and I can always come in on a Saturday to pick them up. My only complaint is I wish Saturdays were open the full day because we all deserve to be closed on Sunday in the retail world. To start off with, I rarely write reviews, positive or negative. However, I have to give 5 stars to my recent experience with Digital Pro Lab. I had a picture I took on a African Safari that I wanted to put on a 30x40 canvas. I had done my editing in LR from a RAW image and took there to see what could be done with it. Ray, over 19 years experience, walked me thru the process, gave me guidance and helped produce an awesome result. The staff was great to work with and the quality of the product is outstanding. I am not sure if the amount of time I got to spend with Ray was typical but when I needed some extra assistance, Ray stepped in to help out. I did not shop around for costs but it is great to have a local company that you can talk to about our project. The end result is priceless.
