Jenn did our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. We love her style! I couldn't do what she does and I majored in Film and good at photography. I have my own light kit and I work with photoshop a lot - but she is on a whole other level than I am. I knew I wanted to hire a photographer and I shopped around until I stumbled on Bend The Light Photography. To be honest I was going to go with someone else but, he was booked. So I googled again and found BTLP. I read their bio and I called them. They are very personable people. So that was good sign to me. I will say this about myself - I like to do things myself if I am on a budget. And we were on a budget. So I was very hesitant to hire them but, I just started to feel comfortable the more I talked to them. In the end I thought - I am getting engaged and that means a lot to me and my fiancé. I want to capture the memory but, I can't do it myself. My family can hardly use a camera. After back and forth I decided to go for it and hire them. I never thought I would hire a photographer since I usually am the photographer in my family. So the day came and we took the pictures. And we waited and waited. Took her about 2-3 weeks. And then we got them. When I opened them my jaw dropped! It was like opening a treasure chest. I don't like being photographed because I just don't like how I turn out but, my goodness Jenn is was able to to photograph my fiancée and I like I never imagined. My fiancée looks amazing! I look amazing! I could hardly believe that it was us in the pictures. We got so many compliments from other family members. The pictures look awesome when you print them on canvas. I mean I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. The universe pointed us to BTLP and I am so grateful. We decided to hire them for the wedding immediately. And so we did. The wedding happened a few weeks ago and we just received the photos. Jenn did our photos again. She is the best to work with. She knows exactly what to do and she doesn't hesitate. Like many couples planning their wedding this year, my now husband and I faced the difficult decision to postpone our original wedding date set for 04/24/20 in Kauai, Hawaii. I was drawn to Bend the Light because of their bright, happy photos that are literally and figuratively full of light. I wanted some nice photos of our extended family as a gift to our parents. Bend the Light is the best!!! In 2016 my husband and I got married. We had heard great things about Bend the Light and had seen their work from a variety of weddings. We are so glad we selected them for our engagement and wedding photos. Kaylinn and Jenn are the best team you could ask for! From my first (45 minute) call with Kaylinn, to receiving our images less than 3 weeks after our wedding, they were true partners throughout our entire wedding planning experience. I've been in the television and media production industry for over 13 years. I've worked with many a/v vendors over the years and have an expectation of professionalism and knowledge base. I did not assume many photographers would be able to meet this expectation as many are self-taught and are going from hobby to business. This is NOT the case for Bend the Light photography and Branding. When I went searching for a photographer for my bridals my now husband came across Bend the Light. I wasn't even sure I wanted to take bridals but he convinced me and He thought Bend the Light photographer would be the best company for my bridals and they definitely were. From the beginning of the process all the way until the end it was a smooth process and so easy to communicate with them. The day of my bridals I was running late, typical of me, which only left me with 20 minutes to take my bridals. I first discovered BTL when they were the photographer for my best friend's wedding; sadly we were never in the right city to be able to use them for our photographer. We made that happen this year for our maternity photos and I am SO thrilled that we did. I have followed them for years and love every one of the photos that they take. Picking Bend The Light for our wedding was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. Kaylinn (studio manager) is incredibly helpful and was a wonderful resource for me. She gladly answered the million questions I had and was just a joy to talk to. Since I was planning a wedding from the UK, the first time I met Jenn (lead photographer) and Dawn (second photographer) was on our wedding day and they were so professional and caring. Kaylinn and Jenn truly make the super hero dynamic duo as a photo team. Every beautiful moment was captured in the light airy style that I love.
