I…read morewanted to bring back to life the simple relics of the 1980s McDonalds playland before the disappear forever in scrap yards. The little carousel that used to be setup at select McDonalds, with the push button placed so far away, you had to run to catch the carousel mid-ride. The original place I wanted to use to restore this did not have room for about 6 months. I had no where to store it so I contacted It's Alive since their facility is enormous. Jeff was able to accept it right away. The carousel took about 5 months to complete. It's Alive took it all apart, checked the motor, media blasted the fiberglass, made small repairs, primed and painted the majority of it. My partner is a professional painter so I had him paint the characters to save some money on labor. I sourced the missing burger topper and missing "M"s, which It's Alive put back. The whole project took some coordination and cost a fortune but it was everything I wanted. I'm really proud of jumping on this whimsical journey and saving something that was special to childrens of the 80s and 90s, before tablets and cell phones. Now I'm hoping they help me sell it at auction in a few years :-)

The invoice showed that he was not charged for some of the steps. On the way home a warning light came on so he took it back. The problem was immediately recognized and resolved.
