Of course, there is always room for improvement, but if you are looking for a school that not only challenges your child intellectually, but also allows them to feel safe and confident in their learning, then this is the place for you. Pros: Small class sizes- Mac keeps the class sizes to around 13/ class. If the numbers begin to tip the scales, then another class has typically been created. PYB IB- One of the best curricular endeavors I have ever encountered. The IB program enriches the already set standard curriculum. It challenges the students to think creatively and analytically, and strives to make global citizens. Individualized approach- We have two boys with very distinct needs. Our eldest was identified as being far beyond grade level. The school approached us and made the decision to advance him a grade. This has been a life saver for him as he would have been extremely bored and problematic. He has continued to excel throughout his time at Mac. Our second son is quite advanced, but due to his birthday it would be difficult for him to skip a grade. So, what has the school done? He has enriched learning activities that do not burden him with extra work, rather allow him to explore his curiosities and connect what he has learned in class to the real world. Like a family- I don't think that you can say that there are many schools in which everyone truly knows your name. Mac feels like a family. This environment helps students feel confident in their learning and build self-esteem that will empower them in the future. Cons: Size- My eldest is getting to an age where he thinks the school is too small. We get it. The school was not designed to be a large and outrageous place. We have begun looking at different schools for him, and we keep coming back to Mac. He has done campus visits at other schools, and what he has referred to us with regards to classroom practices has been quite shocking. For now, Mac!!!

This school is absolutely fantastic! This school is all about supporting children with learning…read moredifficulties. The class sizes are small, usually under 10. The class my child is in has a teacher and an assistant. This school also has an optional homework club, so my child learned to do homework each day after school. There is someone in the homework club to help your child if they get stuck.
