Unfortunately, none of these goals were met. The tutoring didn't mirror his schoolwork as promised, and his first school math test in middle school at the end of August reflected this -- he failed. Also, during our last virtual session in September, the tutor left the session for an extended period when he should've only been gone for three or four minutes to check on his other virtual students then return/rotate. For those reasons, along with one additional issue not mentioned here, I quickly lost confidence in the program and canceled at the end of September, not wanting to spend any more money on a tutoring service that wasn't meeting his needs. It may be a good fit for others, but it wasn't effective for us. I was disappointed and now need to find another tutor or tutoring service that meets his needs. I would be remiss not to mention that the director was pleasant and made efforts to be accommodating and address all concerns.

Director needed to find out from other parents in order to set up camps. There were multiple communications back and forth over a 2 month period, where director informed me there would be only 1 week of camp available which will take place the last week of July. I said I would like to sign my kids up and to please let me know if it will be morning or afternoon session. Director said I would be informed as the week gets closer. Sent email Friday, 7/22 asking for update since I had not heard anything since last conversation about 2 weeks ago. Received a call from Director indicating there will no camp due to lack of interest. SERIOUS?!?! To be notified 3 days before camp is supposed to start is poor customer service. Now, I need to find camp for my kids on Monday with so little time. This business is a learning center supposed to help kids with academic success and provide personal attention, yet there is a lack of organization in simple scheduling and communication, which is an indicator for me as to how well they would really help my kids.

It is so nice to relax in the evenings and not have to deal with homework struggles! In addition to homework assistance, the tutors also help my child prepare for upcoming tests and will even quiz her to make sure she understands the material. The tutors (along with Carol the director), are knowledgeable, professional and helpful. It is obvious they genuinely care about my child's success. They treat us like family, often going over and above to accommodate us. The facility itself is a wonderful learning environment... clean, bright, colorful modern facility with a designated computer area, reading nook and private study rooms. The door between the lobby and classroom is securely locked, which is a wonderful safety feature I haven't seen at other afterschool tutoring programs. I have not received my deposit, which has been owed to me since August. The daycare has cited bankruptcy as the reason, but since then there has been little to no communication, no updates on the status of my funds, and I have essentially been ignored whenever I follow up. After doing some research, I learned that I am not the only one affected. Other families have also not received their deposits, and there are even teachers who have not been paid. This raises serious concerns about how the situation has been handled. It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way after years of loyalty and reliability. If you are considering enrolling your child here, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting your money--or your peace of mind--with a business that is clearly struggling and failing to communicate or take responsibility. Two years ago, I enrolled my two son's through the recommendation of my son's teacher when we were in Florida. Since then, I have seen the long term positive impact from Kumon's teaching method over the last 2 years. It has made me a firm believer in their teaching method. When we moved to Georgia, I wanted my kids to continue with Kumon. The location in Sugar Hill was the closest to me. I found out this was a new center and was not sure what to make of it. I was not sure if it would be better than the one we were attending in Tampa. After three months at this location, I am completely blown away by the wonderful service provided by the instructor, Mrs. Cherry. Mrs. Cherry updates me frequently on their progress, but I can see for myself their academics has accelerated since coming here. She has a passion for education and knows how to interact with kids. My kids enjoy coming here, and I get to knock out my grocery shopping at the Publix next door while they are in class. Win Win! Their price is very competitive. I've spoken to some neighbors who were unsatisfied at another company. I ask how much they pay. I said no no no! You need to send them to Mrs. Cherry. You'll pay less and get better results. So now they are enrolled too :) This new center certainly is a great benefit to the community.
