Meet the Business Owner: Jeff R.

Jeff LOVES forecasting success for your child's future! Before opening the first area Mathnasium (in 2011), Jeff was the Chief Meteorologist at NBC Augusta for 12 years. His decision to bring Mathnasium to the CSRA is a logical follow-on to all his previous work as a Navy and broadcast meteorologist. Jeff often jokes that meteorology is 70% math, 20% science and 10% art. "I think I took more math classes in college and grad school than I did weather classes." Since beginning his broadcast meteorology career back in 1996, Jeff has made school visits and weather education outreach a top priority. From pre-K to high school, Jeff has spoken to hundreds of classrooms all over the CSRA.

Nothing done as promised. I was told originally that our sections would be at my house. That was…read morechanged after we hired her. We had to drive to Evans from Thomson which created a problem with football practice, but we felt like the sacrifice would be worth it. Britney was our tutor, nothing bad to say about her. Dalton really liked her. Week 2 Was scheduled for the following Monday at 7. We arrived in Evans at 6:50 and remained there until 7:30 no one showed up!! After talking to the owner the next day she said she had an "alternant" there, No you didn't , Lies! She told me she would not charge me for that session and the next one would be free. I still got charged. She said she would get the charge taken off, never happened. At this point I should have found a different company, but my son really liked Britney, so we decided to keep going. Week 3 Britney did come to my house for the session as promised. She told us it only took her 30 minuets to get here, not 45 like GPS said. After the session was over, Britney told us she would come to our house from now on. Today she was supposed to be here at 7. No Show! Contacted owner through text, she said we were supposed to come to Evans. Not what we were told by Britney. Owner says Britney doesn't have authority to make that decision. I'm done with this outfit! Not run professionally at all. Save your money, find a different Tutor company!

Horrible Communication!…read more I heard about this school from a friend. I decided to call and book for my son. When I initially called I spoke with a lady who told me that this course was a week long course and that I could pay extra to have the driving test administered there. That way at the end of the week my son would be able to get a drivers license if he passed. I thought..why not? I am thinking back to HS where you do both classroom and driving instruction each day. I tried to ask as many questions as I could, but the lady seemed put out that I was asking them and wasn't really forthcoming with anything other than answering what I asked. The week before my son was to attend, I was then told that no, the first week is instruction only and then you have to schedule to drive the following week. So I asked, this is a two week course instead of one? She told me it was 6 hours of driving, but it has to be scheduled, so more like an additional 2-3 days. On the day we drop my son off I am handed paperwork. I have to list all the days and times of availability for the next 6-8 weeks. What?! I was told a week, then a week and 6 hours.. now its 6-8 weeks before they can be scheduled to drive? The miscommunication is unbelievable. So unprofessional.
