I simply wanted a math class, language arts, and English class with a tutor to get us through this final year. The administration is always responsive and organized. Except for noting that my daughter is in 7th grade and never changing it, despite being asked several times. The math tutor was entirely uninterested in anything. My daughter reports that she was bored (THE TUTOR) in the classes and there seemed to be no connection between homework and classwork. The class really jumped around. We quickly found a much better tutor for HALF of the price. She is doing much better now. The English tutor is very nice and funny. My daughter likes him a lot, personally. I was simply looking for a SIXTH GRADE ENGLISH CURRICULUM. That's it. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. He pulled homework from online that made no sense, nothing was level specific. He would start one idea and then switch to another. We gave this class more time hoping it would improve but it did not. He seemed to not have a plan at all. After explaining these situations to the Fusion administrators, we were told that the contract is "ironclad" and that we would not be able to have any sort of refund. Then, one of them emailed me to have a "phone conversation" regarding what it is "exactly" that I want. I would like my daughter to have a 6th grade English curriculum, which is what was advertised online and in their materials. This is NOT what I received. Do NOT bring your family to this Fusion. Find tutors elsewhere. They really do not care about the quality of education (obviously) and just a business. After such missteps, you would think that they would reconsider their contract. Really. Get private tutors. Much better. They actually have a plan.

The motivation center is a place where you can earn toys like a wig, pop its, nerf guns, play - doh, cool face masks and even pop toys! To earn things, form the motivation center you need to earn tokens from each session, for the first session you get double tokens (16). Each session is 8 tokens. With the tokens you can get things from the motivation center. The tutors are great! :D They have helped me to write an extended R.A.C.E.R to an MLA essay. There are multiple tutors. It's like going to school but int the afternoons. (I love school and Sylvan learning) ;)

She motivated my boy very well and developed an excellent rapport with him. The tutoring was tailored to suit his individual needs and was at a very suitable pace for him. Homework that was set added to the overall effectiveness. His practice test ACT scores steadily improved as time went on. I am sure that his final score was much better than it would have been without the tutoring. The college preparation went extremely well, from help in identifying suitable colleges to the actual application process. She gave outstanding advice in crafting a great set of college essays, while being scrupulous in ensuring it was his voice that shone through. There were a lot of essays and ensuring we kept on the timetable was a very important part of the job, as was the advice on structuring and editing. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and my boy had a terrific crop of excellent admissions results and was offered some great scholarships. He was admitted to his first-choice school where he starts in the fall. Overall, Terry was great help to us in our preparations for college and was a real partner in our journey.
