Service was great when we first bought the mattress but the mattress was a little firm, we called to exchange it and was told that you just wait 30 days to exchange or return it. I wasn't happy so I called the manager and had to go back and forth with him on exchanging it before the 30 days, we finally came to a conclusion to exchange it but I had to pay a restocking fee to have it done. He measured the width as I was concerned about being too close to railing but I even said so this comes in extra large. Not even thinking. It meant extra long he said yes. We finished the order and when order Arrived I got a standard twin too short for too bunk I immediately called them to see what happened to which all I kept getting was well you signed the paper you were aware. While in store service seemed good and delivery was excellent, this Intellibed bed/mattress is a disaster. We were told when we bought it that there was a one-year return/exchange policy. Sounds great and re-assuring. I was also told it would take "awhile" for this very expensive bed to get "broken in" and it would not be as soft as in the store. I was NOT told that this bed feels nothing like the mattress in the store and that we had to sleep on this incredibly uncomfortable bed not just for awhile but for a FULL MONTH h to break it in. It is painful. Genuinely painful. We are lucky if we can sleep for a few hours on it. I went to the store told them my situation and they told me to call mattress service to see if they could make an exception since my husband I both hate this $8K purchase so much. I was told that was the policy by the first person who answered. Sylvia, the manager, said the same, "We can't change our policy." If someone had told me I was stuck with a bed I hated for an entire month, I promise I would not have purchased it. And the irony? Never again! I went to Mathis Outlet 8 times within 2 weeks over 1 mattress. Kept telling me to come to the store, even though I work 2 jobs. First 2 mattresses show up with holes in them at the time of delivery and the manager refuses to give me anything. Before delivery, I looked at the mattress with the manager and neither one of us saw a hole in the mattress. The same manager refused to give me a discount on this defective mattress. I had an outstanding experience at the Mathis Sleep Center on Memorial with exchanging my mattress with the 365 day guarantee. The salesman, G.L. Walker, was knowledgable, patient, and extremely helpful in assisting me picking out my replacement mattress. While my first experience was not completely unpleasant, G.L. made my second trip outstanding. I will definitely send anyone looking for a mattress to him. My only disappointment was that he did not get the credit and the salesman who sold me my first mattress did, even though he did not assist at all this time and I would have preferred G.L. anyway. A salesperson from the Ashley side of the store assisted with me with my first mattress and I am not sure if furniture salespeople should be allowed to make mattress sales. This time around, I noticed several Ashley furniture salesmen speaking with people and they did not seem as knowledgable about the mattresses or the sales that go along with them. My first trip was not completely unpleasant, but the salesman had to go ask questions on a lot of things and I did end up with the wrong mattress for me. The stores are connected, but be sure to go into the Mathis Sleep Center directly if you are only looking for a mattress so that you are able to get an actual mattress salesman. All of the Ashley furniture salespeople I came into contact with were great, but G.L and Tom were much more helpful with their expertise in mattresses in the Mathis Sleep Center. read more

We purchased a King Size mattress in August 2020 and purchased the "mid-range" at around $1200. After 8 months I called them to let them know we were starting to see the mattress getting hollowed out (& we're not big/heavy people). They told me mattresses were like a glove, the more you wear it the more it takes shape! I told them "no one told me this when I bought it or else I wouldn't have bought it!" Fast-forward to August 2023 and its getting extremely worse and I'm starting to have back and hip pain and its worse when I wake up in the morning and I'm also waking up in the middle of the night in pain and have to shift to another part of the mattress! I have been VERY DISAPPOINTED and would not recommend mattresses from Mathis Sleep Center! I notice there's a 365 night comfort guarantee on their website. Purchased a King adjustable base in 2018 on the floor close out and purchased extended warranty. My new puppy got under it and chewed a few cords and the bottom zero gravity quit working. Had a guy out to look at it and said it wasn't covered by warranty which I knew it wouldn't be but wanted it repaired and would pay what it cost. He said he could fix it they would contact me in 48 hours and they didn't so now 3 weeks later I call and said no one would fix it which all it needs is a few wires. Wish I had NOT even paid for extended warranty because they won't even help me get it fixed properly with pay. I have purchased several pieces in the past. During my recent move, my personal movers broke a shelf of a bookcase I purchased with Mathis Brothers. My mover called to order the shelf but never called back to pay for it...loser! When I called to follow up they had record of the request and record of several calls to my mover for payment with no success. I was very angry with my terrible mover as I chatted with your customer care representative...because of my frustration and no fault of my own, plus several purchases in the past, she ordered the shelf for me at no cost. I told him I wanted the firmest mattress that he had delivered here. Price was right and it got delivered exactly on time. Wifey and I came in to town Saturday night and slept on it. When you enter the customer service center at the Mathis Brothers in Oklahoma City, you are greeted by professional and courteous agents that seem eager to help. I have had a horrible experience with Mathis Brothers after purchasing a wicker patio set in 2017. I have made 3 trips into the customer service center to have them help me with my issue, each time its 45 mile round trip to get the run around. It all began when my puppy chewed the two seat cushions to my set. I have called and went in requesting their help in getting replacement cushions for the set. On all three occasions, I have made it clear that I know it's not a manufactures defect and that I want to pay for the cushions. I have never asked for them to be free, just for help in ordering them. The first time I went in there to get help, the agent said that they have to have a part coordinator call me with a quote. Two to three days later a manager named Samantha called me and told me that there was nothing they can do for me since I purchased the set "as is". I explained to her that I had paid full price, and the reason it was listed "as is", was because it was a floor model and I didn't want to wait 3 months for it to come from a distribution center in CA. She was rude and kept telling me there was nothing they can do and seemed agitated by me requesting help. I figured if I went in again that they might find a way to help. This time I spoke to an Angel, he was professional and took detailed notes and told me he would get back to me. I waited two weeks and no one called me with a follow-up. I went back to the customer service center on 6/3, the agent Darci was nice and went to see if she could get help. She returned with her manager Samantha, same agent that I spoke to initially and she remembered me. I proceed to tell her again, the situation and she told me that there was nothing they can do since the set was discontinued. It's a patio set, they use new model numbers every year since they make slight changes to the sets. The change on the set this year was the set had rounded edges instead of squared, and the cushions were slightly darker with ridges. I told her I was willing to buy 2- 3 whatever was needed to get them to order them for me. She told me that there was nothing that there team could do, I told her the manufacture sent me back to the store since they aren't setup to take checks or credit cards from individuals, that everything was done on net terms. I told Samantha that and she seemed as frustrated with me as I was with them. I will tell all my friends, family and anyone that is willing to listen not to purchase anything from Mathis Brothers. I have purchased a lot of furniture from them, and I will know go elsewhere to make my purchases. In the center they have a sign that is visible to all "Since 1960, we've been dedicated to providing our customers with the best possible customer service, before and after the sale." If I could give zero stars to Mathis Brothers, I would. I purchased a bedroom set a few years ago. To make a long story short, they never delivered the mirror that went with the dresser I purchased. After going back and forth with their less than helpful customer service, I was told I would need to pick up the mirror - which never would have fit into my little Toyota, so I never received my mirror, nor did I receive any kind of refund. Fast forward to two weeks ago. I thought I would give it another try surely this time they would get it right. I purchased two dressers, an end table and a sectional and paid to have them delivered. The drivers were supposed to contact me in advance to give me a two hour time frame - they did not. After waiting all day Sunday, I finally called the store and requested a timeline for delivery. I was told they could not locate the driver and therefore, could not give me an estimated time of arrival. The delivery truck finally showed up with my new furniture after 5:00pm. When they attempted to bring the sectional into the living room, they rammed it into the front door and one of the men kicked it open. It flew against the wall and the arm that holds the screen door broke off. We immediately called their attention to it and they said we could file a claim. We did. Now - mind you this is probably a $7.00 part. Not a huge deal, but we were given the run around from the beginning. Now we are told the delivery company they used was a contracted company and Mathis Brothers is not responsible - we need to go through the company THEY hired to transport our furniture. Let's sum this up: 1. I paid $100 delivery fee and my door was broken in the process of delivering my furniture. 2. Mathis says they are not responsible because the company is a contracted vendor. 3. The contracted company refuses to call me back 4. Mathis will not provide any kind of refund for the delivery fee 5. I will fix the door myself Customer service is virtually non-existent here. It was horrible two years ago and is horrible now. I will never purchase furniture here again and I recommend you save your money and go to a store that values the people who spend thousands of dollars of their hard-earned money. This is such a wonderful new store. It is the perfect size when you don't want to have to walk a huge store. It has a large selection of La Z Boy furniture to choose from. I spent about $3800 on a mattress & adjustable base in January. In July after making an honest effort to adjust to the bed, it was too firm. Called to do the exchange as I purchased the additional, mattress cover, pillows & rewards to qualify for the 365 sleep warranty. In July I meet with a district manger to exchange & am told it would be an additional $700 for the exact same mattress in the "softer" version. I requested a returned or clearance model of like quality & price. For MONTHS I texted to get an update & was blown off. I finally called & made a complaint & the next day all of a sudden they had a mattress. both times we went to select a mattress, we were told how the firm is like concrete & the misconception of firm beds being good for your back. We were never told this at time of purchase. Get my delivery 10/14/2021 & the paperwork I was finally shown, confirms the mattress I was given is $600 less than my original purchase & does not have all of the features of my original. I contacted the DM to ask could they at least throw in some pillows & was told NO. Instead of reducing their profit & swapping me out for my exact mattress they made me wait 2 1/2 months to get the new one delivered, at not even close to the price or quality & almost bragged that they knew the firm mattress is the most returned mattress they sell. Then a simple gesture of a set of pillows was too much. Will never shop or recommend Mathis Brothers again. read more

I was just transferred here with my family we went to the store pick out the mattress. it didn't even last 6 months before it started cratering. I have had 6 back surgeries and the quality of rest is extremely important. I called and found out that we did not qualify for the year mattress guaranteed because we didn't buy the right kind of mattress. We asked to have it delivered on Friday afternoon but on Friday morning he called and it was delayed so I asked to have it delivered on Sunday afternoon. Delivery persons were also great. Friendly helpful and knowledgable sales staff. Although to be fair-I was an easy sell because I was ready to buy. They did show me several different products and didn't try to "oversell" me or "up" sell me - which I hate. Told me about special prices and close outs which I always appreciate and did have free delivery even way out where I live in the Oklahoma panhandle. I bought a king size mattress with the adjustable base. The delivery people were friendly and efficient but in such a hurry as to make me feel very nervous when signing off on paperwork and didn't even allow me time to try out the mechanical moving base before they left. Mathis Brothers might want to reconsider how they pay the delivery staff or plan a little more time so as to leave me, the customer, feeling a little better at the end of the transaction! We finally decided to get a new mattress and, having had a positive experience there in the past, went to Mathis Sleep Center to shop. Our salesperson (GL) was knowledgeable, patient and showed interest in us finding the best mattress for us. We settled on a soft king size mattress with adjustable base. As part of a holiday sale, it included credit toward accessories, and we got sheets and also paid for pillows. Delivery was exactly as promised. The crew was quick, professional, set it up and made sure it all worked before they left. However, they did not have the sheets nor pillows as we were told they would. So, a few days later I went back to the store and got the sheets, but the pillows were back-ordered. The sheets that were sold as "cooling" and "breathing" were terrible. On the first night, there were countless snags from toenails getting caught in the fine mesh and "running" or snagging. Knowing that these would never last, we removed them the next day and washed them to return. When I returned them, I was told that bedding sales are final and they wouldn't return or exchange them and that I should call customer service if I wanted to get anywhere. The customer service agent wasn't very helpful, just recited their policy about not returning sheets because of OSHA regulations, so I asked for a supervisor. The agent said she'd e-mail a supervisor to call me back. The manager was even less helpful, just quoted their policy and said I was stuck with them. I asked for a replacement in a different style (not mesh) and she said I'd have to pay for them. I explained that I spent a lot on this sale and that I thought they should stand behind their product, but she wouldn't budge. I asked to speak to a next-level supervisor and was told "I'll send her your phone number, but she'll tell you the same thing." I don't think I'm being unreasonable in my request that they stand behind their product and I'm waiting for a call from the manager. read more
