Here's my experience: Our contract specified the following: - Prep and paint the basement (walls, trim, doors), including the common area, bathroom, and bedroom. - Prep and paint the stairwell and complete upper level, excluding closet interiors (ceiling, walls, trim). - Perform minor drywall repairs as needed in all areas to be painted. However, drywall repairs were incomplete before painting began. During my walkthrough, I noticed areas that still required repair; some were fixed, others were not. Where repairs were made, the difference in paint coats is noticeable. Most of my home appears to have received only one coat of paint, and some of the trim wasn't painted at all, despite my repeated requests to both the worker and the owner. Paint was splattered throughout my home, including on furniture and kitchen appliances. The trim, ceiling, and floor were covered with paint splatters. The workers also left trash behind, such as drink cups and wrappers. Although the job was supposed to take five days, on the fifth day, a single worker arrived at 8 a.m. and stayed until 9 p.m. without any breaks, trying to finish. After I sent the owner photos of the issues, he and the worker along with one other person returned on Monday. That worker yelled at me in my own home, blaming me for the poor paint job. Although the owner attempted to make things right, the overall lack of care and professionalism from this company was unacceptable. I still have unresolved issues, but after the owner tried to justify the problems, I decided to just pay him and move on.

If I could give 3.5 stars for the job itself, I would. First, the good - he was very responsive during the quote process, sent a good scope of work and contract via email, and used quality paint. He and his helper showed up on time, and were kind, courteous and professional. I really enjoyed chatting with both of them. The price quoted was fair and reasonable. In writing, Larry said that he'd be spraying the kitchen cabinet doors, which I preferred to brushing; however, there was no sprayer used for my kitchen. I let it go because the doors were not showing brush strokes but wanted to note because the job was not done as described. My second concern relates to attention to detail during the painting process. Some touch ups are to be expected (though, see below), but there was a level of sloppiness that I didn't expect from a pro. Primarily, they used spray primer along the base of the cabinets, which has left white spots along the moulding and in some spots, on the hardwood floors. And not taping has left some sloppy lines and paint on things like appliances and the backsplash. But all of this could have been addressed if Larry had come back for the touch up that was promised. I needed about a month between the cabinet painting and the touch up to take care of some personal matters, and Larry was responsive and confirmed the new date. Texts to re-confirm a few days before and on the day of went unanswered, as did a call. After a number of texts, Larry finally responded on July 28, the day after our scheduled appointment, and said he was having car trouble and couldn't get out to my home. I let him know it was fine, and to just keep me posted. I have not heard from him since then (over a month) despite sending additional messages.
