Carry on with this "most items" business and they should be rebranded as Pound Hamlet. Semantics aside, Ranson's is a standard cheapo shop, full of all the things you get from distant relatives at Christmas and don't have the heart to throw away until at least February. It comes in useful for workplace Secret Santa and some of the toiletries and household products are good value.

Lots of different snacks and shower gels, like a pound shop thats being a bit cheeky and charging more money than things are worth. Walked around for awhile, found loads of things i was going to buy, made eye contact with the owner, put everything back and walked out. That man has evil eyes, no doubt he means well though.

And I have found that if you buy your food there before going to the cinema it can save you £5 or more although you have to be discreet taking this food into the cinema. It has to be said that the quality isn't the best and very hit and miss in the sweet section into what tastes stale so if your not bothered about the money go elsewhere but for skint students surely the place to head to.

There are plenty of places to eat from Burger king to Pizza hut, however there are quite a few smaller cafes to eat from and a Millies cookies! Parking is not a problem in the weekday, however on Saturdays and around Christmas you have to be there when they open. Other shops in Merry Hill include Disney Shop, Game, HMV, WHSmith and much more. However, Over recent years it has gone down hill slightly purely at the groups that hang around the bus station and the general crowdidness of it at times. I would recommend a trip to Birmingham to the Bullring which has better shops and better ambiance anyway.

Fantastic range of well known products including mothercare's own brands. From toys to pushchairs and clothing to baby essentials. This store also has it's own Clark's shoe store and trained staff as well as a Pixie photo centre! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Vast majority of products are on display for kids to sample beforehand. Very bright, clean and well stocked. Prices can be on the expensive side but they have signs saying they price match!
