I would visit a few times, and the new machines just didn't tempt me. So when I say my most recent Namco station visit came at a surprise, it really did. It had bigger, newer and cooler machines, designed to capture fun for all groups and ages. It almost reminded me back to when I first visited Namco station. I love the giant size connect 4, and the dodging laser beams. Overall I had a great time, something different and best possible way to kill time.

The play area itself is brilliant - in my opinion, its one of the best in the area. It is split on 3 levels with lots of different areas to keep the kids entertained for a few hours. They have an air gun at the top which fires out soft balls which the kids just love. There are a couple of slides and all the othe play equipment you would expect. There is a cafe area with lots of seating so unless it's a particularly busy day, you should be able to get a seat. They do lovely lattes/cappucinos etc and cakes, crisps as well as hot food. Parties start from £7.75 and are really great fun. The party have there own party room (there are a few rooms here) so you are away from everyone else while eating party food and playing party games. Although I can't remeber how much I paid to get in last time, the prices here are pretty average and they are a little cheaper after school.

They now have a more traditional gym space, walls of lockers (remember to bring a pound coin to use them), a kit shop, and a cute little café on the top floor. On top of offering an awe-inspiring venue, the staff I've encountered have been absolutely lovely. Even when they spot something going less-than-right, they come by to gently offer words of wisdom rather than scathing criticism. Plus, as manual as the check-in process here is*, the front desk employees keep things moving right along. I thought that climbing was going to be one of those things that I might have to give up for good after I moved away from NoVA and my beloved Sportrock Gym there, but I've discovered a whole new level of climbing gym brilliance at the Castle. --- * My former climbing gym had a swipe card system which automated the check-in process completely. Whilst it's not a hassle, it would reduce the work required of the front desk staff here nominally.

Battlebridge Basin is one of the larger basins on the Regent's Canal, located just north of King's…read moreCross station. It's home to the London Canal Museum, housing and offices, as well as the brand new 'Kings Place' office and cultural centre. The Regents Canal opened from Paddington to Camden in 1816 and throughout to the basin at Limehouse in 1820. Battlebridge Basin, originally called Horsfall Basin, was opened in 1822. Like the other basins, it was originally intended for the trans-shipment of goods to and from the canals. Among the unusual cargoes carried were ice - imported from Norway from the 1820s - used for making (among other things) ice cream. The former ice warehouse is now the London Canal Museum. Over the years, goods traffic declined, due largely to competition from the railways and then the roads, although some traffic continued until the late 1960s. The canal basin was privately owned until 2000 when it was purchased by British Waterways. The basin has since been redeveloped and gentrified, and provides moorings as well as an attractive urban space. Since 1989 it has been the home of the London Canal Museum, and in 2008 the Kings Place development opened, with a cafe, restaurant, art gallery space and two auditoriums for music recitals and concerts. NB: The main towpath is on the other side of the canal from the basin. Access (except by boat) is easiest via the Canal Museum, as most of the moorings are private. For information about boat moorings, contact British Waterways' London Office on (020) 7985 7200. The museum itself opened in 1992 and is based in a former ice warehouse, dating from the 1860s. The main hall includes a view down into one of the two large circular ice stores. The museum tells the story of canals in general, and in particular how the canal network developed around London. There's a small section of a narrow boat which illustrates how the canal families lived, a small tractor used from the 1940s onwards in place of horses on some of the London canals, and a wide range of smaller canal items. The upstairs is largely given over to exhibition space, showing newsreels from the 1920s-50s depicting canal life in London, wildlife in canals and the story of canal restoration. Downstairs there's access to the side of the Battlebridge Basin, from where the museum runs canal trips in the summer. By the entrance there's a small shop selling books and souvenirs. Staff a friendly and very knowledgable. A diverting hour or so if you are in the Kings Cross area.

I got a city pass and had a handful of tourist attractions to visit while in London. I did the London Eye and Sealife together in this order. I highly recommend coupling them for a day. The former give you a nice view of the city. The latter is a cool aquarium that I enjoyed visiting. I love penguins. I enjoyed seeing the gentoo penguins swim and waddle around. I probably spent a good chunk of my time here. I also liked the shark exhibit. Seeing sharks swim around a shipwreck was neat. The jellyfish exhibit was also amazing. It's the UK's largest jellyfish experience. I enjoyed watching them float around. Oh, the seahorses were fun. I saw the suck up shrimps with their snouts, which was different. I normally see them swimming around. I spent a lot of time at the gift shop. I ended up getting a keychain and a small penguin plushie. This aquarium is probably one of the best ones that I've been to. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved everything that I saw. (21)

That thing nearly threw me across the park) to a circular hammock swing thing (honestly, I don't know what these things are called!!!). Basically just imagine a make shift playpark thrown together using tons of scrap wood and a brilliantly creative mind and there we have it!
