I had been told by others it was shot and needed a new one. At N.E.W. Transmission they said nope we can fix that! I was so impressed by the friendly and honest service (not to mention good work!) that they always remained in my mind the only place worth going to to fix a transmission issue. Years later, I now took it back for some shifting issues and he checked the fluid, and reset codes, test drove and sent me on my way without even a bill! A complete trany rebuild will cost ~~$2000 vs ~$3000 'elsewhere' and that is perfectly reasonable nationwide! The fact that I didn't NEED a rebuild came as a pleasant surprise as another 'place' said I likely did. I got the clear and obvious problem fixed, (found the problem immediately) a trany tune up with pan and adjustment AND a new RADIATOR (it had been leaking for a couple of years) all for ~$1000!
