I was a returning alcohol and drug patient at Mastermind Care, I was a successful graduate back in November 2023 was properly transitioned to a halfway house and given great care, 4 days later I left the halfway house the day before my birthday, I take full responsibility for my relapse. I didn't use the tools and knowledge Mastermind Care shared with me, in actuality, I took it for granted. I don't want to admit it but I did. 4 months after that I was arrested and in jail, again, on Easter 2024. I made a choice when I was in Jail to call Joaquin (he had credit on his phone and the call went through, thank God!) and ask if I could come back and give it another shot and get clean and sober, again. Mastermind Care was the only program that I felt genuinely cared about and I've been too many different programs! I wanted my life back, and I wanted Mastermind Care to be my stepping-stone in that process. They provided food, plenty of it, substantial housing, positive and motivational teachings on a daily basis-many times a day, great energy and a great staff, and most important with real-life experiences. From the Clinical Director, Therapists and Techs - It's a place where community is truly defined through acts of kindness with good intentions and a yearning for my recovery over my life. A unique experience that cannot be found in a book or a movie, but I believe that one day will be. For the owner and her husband are a prominent reason for my return to Mastermind Care, true, real inspiration that miracles are achieved through God and our hard effort. They are there every day with the clients side-by-side, members of their family and even their children are a part of the program. Mastermind Care has shown me that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE - ANYTHING IS ATTAINABLE. By there walk & by putting God 1st, others 2nd, and then myself. Service is the principle for progress in one's life. I am very grateful and thankful for Mastermind Care! I literally was taken out of the darkness in jail in Miami-Dade County and dropped off at the doors of Mastermind Care. I recently graduated again, I will flourish, I am applying all the tools they have equipped me with, life isn't perfect but it's a million times better then where I was at as a slave to drugs. I am a miracle, and I am proud to say that Mastermind Care is a big part of that! God-speed & God-bless Rafael Torres Graduate - June 13, 2024 "Truly smiling in Recovery" read more

Joaquin Barreda is on probation for fraud continuing ti commit insurance fraud taking advantage of people trying to recover drom a disease. He has no clinical background yet runs 3 clincal groups a day while having other proplr sign off to bill clients insurances. The recruitors lie to get you there saying there is a pool and equine therapy when in reality you live in shitty roach and palmetto bug infested aparments that barely work. most the units have no ac or working refridorators. also the building is located in the hood and right next to a known drug dealer. you can smell the crack and meth if you sit outside which i wouldnt recommend considering the weeds and bushes are so over grown because he refuses to hire a landscaper. there is black mold and sewage seeping up through the wooden floor boards. He has his techs handling and handing out medications with no medical backgrounds. Half his staff is illegal immigrants and the legal staff he does have he pays through zelle after taking out taxes for himself. He does not have one singlw caucasion employee and makes it very clear he doesnt like white people. There are couples allowed to house together and have sex and get high and he only kicks the white people out for doing so. There has also been sexual harrasment reported to HR from clients and nothing is done about that. Staff members are hooking up with clients and bringing in drugs. He has an apartment where he houses illegal immigrants. They do not have anyone who helps set up after care and after manipulating people to stay there he will kick them out for no real reason and then not allow them to get their belongings or food. if you have no money or Food stamps you wont be getting food besides the awful catering that comes in only for lunch. Every sunday he breaks clients First amendment rights to freedom of religion by forcing everyone to go to christian church grounds. read more

Go somewhere else! In the female house there was 2" cockroaches after spraying we swept out the cabinets there was about 12 of them on the floor. After that I would see them alive on the floor and near the sink. 1 room didn't have air conditioning. My roommate told me they didn't fix it in 3 weeks and her roommate there in a month of time said they never fixed it. We put in another request to fix it... they did nothing! Same time length occurred with the advertised "outings" no beaches or bowling. I even went to the director about it... nothing! The staff does several medical errors like not show up to the house. I even heard that in the men's house they just left the med box UNLOCKED for the house one evening. Oh yeah if someone threatens to kill you the owner will allow them to stay EVEN WITH WITNESSES even though that is illegal medically to allow homicide or suicide threats in the facility... the owner will just do a speech in front of your face AS IF THREATS ARE A NEW RULE while the guy sits right behind you. 80% of the technicians will bark at you as if they are correction officers. Even if you are asking a question. They will fight with their significant others from their private lives loudly on the phone for hours to where u can hear them through out the whole house. The night time nurse was kind enough to do that outside late at night but she did it at my window and that kept me up. I had to get out of my bed and go outside to tell her I couldn't sleep. The showers are always like warm too. read more

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible experience I had at Mastermind Care. The owners truly care for you because they have been where you've been. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and supported by the compassionate and professional staff. The personalized care and attention I received were beyond my expectations. And they even let me go to this awesome Church! (New River Fellowship in Fort Lauderdale) The facility itself is top-notch, offering a comfortable and serene environment that truly promotes healing and recovery. The programs are comprehensive, addressing not just the addiction but also the underlying issues and co-occurring conditions. They offer a variety of therapies and activities that helped me rediscover my passions and rebuild my confidence. Family member reached out to me as they were struggling with a relapse and their mental health. His marriage was in jeopardy of ending, and my family member stated he was finally willing to do whatever it took. I'm at the owner of Mastermind Care a while back as he was speaking at an event . Let me know if he was always available if anybody needed help, so I gave him a call. It's been 3 months, and my family member had time to heal and be cared for and loved by the amazing staff at the center. There are a lot of facilities out there, and I was apprehensive as you hear all of the horror stories, but this place makes you feel like family. How much treated with dignity and respect and completed the program at Mastermind care, feeling confident with improved self-esteem and decreased depression. He is back home with his wife and working through their issues, but most importantly, when I speak to him daily, he is a different person. He is no longer hopeless and angry. He has a positive outlook on the day and is very motivated to stay sober and on the right track. A personal thanks to Joaquim and Jeannie, we are so grateful for what you have created! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I recently celebrated a year clean on Nov 1 2024. Reflecting on the past year I'm truly grateful for Jaoquin Jeannie and the entire Mastermind staff. I relearned a lot of life skills I forgot along the way. The owner facilitates the majority of the group therapy and he made it make sense . By watching the way he and his family live life showed me that it's definitely possible to "get it all back" . I learned to apply all those lil cliche sayings to my everyday life and it's working. If I fall I now know exactly who to call to pull me up and love me until I can love myself. Jaoquin knows how to deliver the message of recovery through real experience hope and a lot of humor. My therapist Jenn catered to my style of counseling she wasn't pushy but always managed to break through. Mastermind Care is changing lives. I'm so happy with hard work and excellent influence I was gifted this chance at life. Thank you read more

Fantastic place they taught me a lot about what it takes to live a happy fulfilled life. It's a family business and it has a family atmosphere. The therapists and case managers are also very good. My therapist Destiny helped me get enrolled in college while I was there. My case manager Erin set me up with a therapist for after treatment as well as a primary doctor and sent me with lists of AA/NA meetings in my area amongst other things. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this place. read more

The best place to get sober. I learned to challenge my ego with humility. The therapy is top notch and it's the only place I've been to where you interact with the owner on a daily basis. This place changed my life in all aspects. If you honestly want to get sober and STAY CLEAN... this is the place to be. We as addicts have problems with oppositional defiance, and this place helped me pull the reigns on my anger and fear of Authority. Come here to get clean... And stay that way read more
