Horrible experience! We decided to come in around 8:30 to get a haircut for an event on the following day (Parents 50th Anniversary). Blanca Castro was the lady that cut my hair. I asked her for a men hairstyles book and said she didn't have any books. That they did away with them. She pointed out some picks around the room and they weren't what I wanted. I described to her what I wanted and then my friend wipped out a picture on her phone on how I wanted my haircut. You would think she would wait to see the pic (kind of important when you begin to cut someones hair) but Blanca began cutting my hair even before I showed her the picture on the phone. Then, she just barely glanced at it and says ok. NOW, I am 37 years old, and I have NEVER seen anyone cut someone's hair SO FAST! The cut was done in 10 min TOPS. Blanca then combs my hair, pushing it down with the palm of her hand a few times, and shows me the mirror to check how the back looks. I told her that that was the fastest haircut I've ever had. I said that I know you guys are about to close but it's no reason for her not to take her time and do a good job. The line on the side fade was very pronounced. Short and long hairs mixed together in the front face. She tried to hide her mistakes by combing my hair and pushing it down, but when I put my fingers through it, mistakes were everywhere. Blanca then tells me she's not done and that she has 27 years of experience, and so on (very defensive). She brought out the clippers and some FAT THICK COMB and went through my hair as if she was fixing the sides to make the final cuts. Really? After clipping the side to a 2, you think their will be enough hair to clip through a FAT THICK COMB. All in a flash, again she was done. She just wanted to make a scene, made a few nocises by hitting the clippers against the comb, and pretended she was making some changes but NOTHING CHANGED. I stood up and went to the registered to pay, since I went with a friend, I asked for her to charge me my friends haircut as well. Blanca then said that the other lady would charge me and walked away. From a distance I hear her at the back of the store talking loudly to a co-worker on how I didn't like the haircut. Loud enough so I can hear (what is that?). I payed, and even left a small tip. Checked my hair in the mirror outside the mall and it was just a mess. Terrible job. Went back and told her to look at my hair and see if that there is 27 years of so called experience in her work. She asked to fix it but who would be crazy enough to let this lady touch their hair again. She offered a refund but it's not about that. It's about ethics, about an apology, owning your mistake, customer service, etc. I said no thank you and that this could have been avoided if she would have just taken her time, respected the value of a customer, and to do the services one is paying for.
