We just moved to Indiana from out of state and with no real family connections here we wanted to get him involved in activities...and we've found a great little family with Master Yoo's Tae Kwon Do. I was a little skeptical about signing up for a year, as opposed to going month the month, but I also liked the commitment aspect of it. You really need to give it a shot. The instructors are great. They're kind, supportive, encouraging and they like to have fun. I think they really mix things up and keep the kids learning and their belt tip system is a really great way to help keeps kids engaged by having little wins throughout their own individual belt journey. My son is focused, is learning real discipline and respect and definitely getting stronger physically. I'm looking forward to him turning six so that we can join the studio and study along w/ him as a family because now I want to learn what he's doing. I'd like to add also that their Covid protocols are great. Super nice to see them taking things seriously. I had called and spoke to another martial arts studio while we were researching and their response was something like, "If you're concerned about Covid, then maybe this isn't the place for you." I was really pleased to see the efforts that Master Yoo's makes to help everyone feel safe. Temp checks and santizing for everyone who walks in the door. Kids all spaced apart. Everyone masked up. Online versions of class if you want them. Really a great place so far and look forward to our continued journey.

This teamwork also stretches outside of the classroom, with Master Cooley asking if there is anything that he can help address while the student is in class time. Testing The testings are done as a group by belt rank. When it has come time to break the boards, if there is a student(s) who are struggling to achieve it in the initial round, there is a rising positive support by the classmates, along with the audience towards the student. Class Schedule Many different time slots are available to increase the opportunities for students to make it to at least 2 classes a week (2-3 per week are recommended). Overall, I would recommend KTA if one is looking for a solid place to attend if interested in the Taekwondo branch of martial arts.
