On 4.21.26 a coil failed on my 4 ton (est.) Goodman AC. Joe presented a tiered verbal quote for a coil replacement from his tablet. This ranged from $10K to $4K. The bill as provided was: HL5A - BAND-AID - Heat Transfer Media Coil System Rejuvenation. Job #201994583. Total cost: $4195. This came with a 30 day warranty. No part number referenced. On 8.10.26 the other AC unit stopped working. This is a 3.5 ton (est) Carrier unit Joe installed almost 10 years ago. This was job# 201994682. This was still under a full manufacturer parts warranty. Joe charged $129.95 for the visit and $600 to isolate the leak. Joe offered to waive these charges if I authorized the repair immediately. The verbal tiered quote was offered to us again this time starting at $11900 for the top tier repair with a bottom quote of $5500 (band aid). There was no reference that there would be no charge for the hardware and this was only for labor and refrigerant given the warranty. The quotes from top tier to bottom tier appeared to be out of line. Because I declined to agree immediately, the $729 charge was billed. I brought in an independent HVAC technician for an opinion. He confirmed the issue and charged $1550 for labor and refrigerant and replaced the coil. I've cancelled my warranty plan and will not use this company again.

Keiley was super helpful and kept me updated throughout the process, and I decided to get a preventative maintenance agreement for twice a year service because I didn't want anything like this to happen again. We have had several service visits, including one to our new house right after we moved. I believe the technician Javier has come to every one of the visits, and he is extremely professional and really goes above and beyond. Had another company come check it out ,Report from tecnition, thermostat not sending signal to heater,programmed for gas furnice throughout the programming .which is false. Was not powering on because the thermostat was not progammed correctly Sysem now fixed and system heater kit is going to both side of heat strip . All good now , Trusted all was ok , Tried several times to arrange Taylor Air and Heat to come service [check] unit yearly 3 actualy never got back , took on new company from recommendation from family ,now pay for 6 monthly check.
