While I had an aisle seat, I found it difficult to see around the person in front of me. In addition to being short, there is no downward slope to the rows of seating at Dreamcatcher. The only other comment I have has to do w/ the restroom in the lounge area. It's a single restroom with a large window. The lower half of the window is frosted, but the upper half isn't...That wouldn't be much of a problem if there wasn't a mirror on the opposite wall. The theater has a three story house as a neighbor and the third floor window can see the reflection in the mirror, therefore the person on the toilet. I admit I was disturbed by that. Also, not sure if this is true for all performances and it wasn't a big deal for me, but when we went to Dreamcatcher on Saturday night, the audience was 75% adults 55+.

I love coming here for shows, rain or shine it's a great time. They headliners are always showcased…read morewell, as their sound system is excellent. They view is great from any direction. The food and drinks are expensive, of course, but the quality is okay. There is always seating and the open-air, fully covered space is great protection from the elements. Easily accessible by public transportation, Merkin Hall is Kaufman Music Center's performance…read morevenue. Acoustics are wonderful, with comfortable seating in the orchestra and mezzanine. Kaufman describes the auditorium as 'intimate.' (I guess compared to Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall, it is.) To my surprise I was seated in the first row. At first I thought 'too close!' but seeing the musicians' expressions and subtle interplay on stage, enhanced the experience. The OAK trio (pianist Ozewl, violinist Amaral and cellist Ko -- thus, OAK) is phenomenal. Each member -- I think they're all under thirty -- has the most impressive credentials. The group formed in Boston for their shared love of chamber music. The talent and well-executed program warranted the standing ovation OAK received. A most perfect way to lose oneself in music on an otherwise dreary day. Apparently, Merkin has a Tuesday afternoon series, which is worth checking out if you have the day free.

I've seen it grow and change and to this day, I still stop by from time to time. The acoustics here are insane....Insanely good. Some of the best around. The seats are comfortable. The location is super-easy to get to (take the 1 to 66th and walk a block). If you hear of a show that will be at Merkin and you're undecided on going, trust me and just go. And no, I will not sing or dance for any of you, no matter how much training I received back in the day.

A grand old dam of the scene that is over 100 years old, it has been maintained well and our seats in the 11th row for the evening performance of "Chess: The Musical" were excellent. Some of the previous, notable performances include "Les Miserables," "Water for Elephants," and "The Boy from Oz." Leg room was about what you would expect, unfortunately, but that comes with the territory. Ushers down in this section were extra snarky and while it wasn't pointed at me, I could see others not necessarily appreciating the sassiness.

The Imperial is the Shubert organization's 50th venue in NYC. It was constructed in 1923. The auditorium is a NYC designated landmark. The theater is located on 45th Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway. As with other theaters, you initially line up outside. You're then ushered into the narrow lobby, and directed to form two lines till the auditorium doors open. It's an orderly process. I'm a cheapie. I go for cost-effective seats with good visibility. If they've got a mezzanine and balcony I'll spring for the mezzanine. The Imperial's mezzanine is divided front and rear. My seat was dead-center rear mezzanine, and as good as I hoped it would be. As with all these gracious old theaters seats are a bit tight and legroom lacking. I saw 'Chess,' an excellent production -- dynamic singing, staging -- with artistic liberties taken toward historic SALT talks. You don't have to play chess, or even remember the nature of SALT to enjoy the show. Go see it!

I have back issues and usually old opera houses/theatre chairs are not my friend. I sat there for just over two hours and was fine, big relief for me. Plenty of leg room. Appreciate there was a restroom on our level. Each person working that I passed by had a smile to pass along and gave directions well when needed. A great experience. So neat to finally see inside. Now to just get myself to see a Rockettes show. My Gran used to travel every year to "take in a show". She would gush about it when we would see her next. I'd like to do that with my granddaughter some day :) Thank you to Radio City & to all who made Morbid Live possible. I enjoyed listening to Ash & Alaina. You gals Rock!

It's almost embarrassing that I, a native New Yorker, have only been to Radio City Music Hall once…read morebefore last night. But alas, that's how it goes sometimes, right? If I had to place it, I think my first visit here was sometime in the late 90s/early 00s as a kid to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. Anyway, was planning to attend a concert being held here, so I was excited to rediscover RCMH as an adult. I don't think there's much more I can add to what's already been said regarding the history and cultural significance of RCMH; it has one of the most impressive resumes of events and shows that have been held under its roof. It's as picturesque on the inside as it is outside, with almost an art deco-type decor with a lot of warm colors and accents of gold. Throughout the main space, there are several concession stands and counters to sell merch depending on whats showing. The theater itself was very comfortable. I sat on the first mezzanine and had great views of the main stage. The seats were plush, and the acoustics were on point. Everyone was also very helpful - getting into the hall was quick and the entire staff was professional and friendly. I know I'm saying these things in a praising manner, which is true but also I kinda expected this from a place as notable as RCMH. Overall, if you have an opportunity to catch a show at RCMH I would highly recommend it. The history, the aesthetics, and accommodations - it's all a yes.

Very well organized. For this particular show my sister brought a bouquet of flowers from home but she had to leave them outside by the staircase and pick them up after the show. So if you bring flowers just be aware that you cannot bring them inside the theater. The bathrooms were clean and the location is great as you have some restaurants nearby.

The theater itself is stunning: elegant, spacious, and well organized. The seating was comfortable I been in the first ring center and the 3rd ring and both had great views, and I was very happy with my seats. They have multiple bathrooms and a snack shop. One such place is the 42st Workshop Theater. The theater is located on the fourth floor of the building, and once you get up there the waiting area is very comfortable. There are rest rooms near the entrance to the theater and very well kept. The area where the folks running the play checked for your name on the RSVP list was cute, almost like a mini version of a larger theater's concession stand area. The actual performance space itself is nice. On a hot day, the air conditioning kept a room full of people nice and cool. The stage area is medium sized (I've seen bigger and smaller) and the actors looked like they had no problem moving about on stage. I enjoyed my time (and the play) at this theater and would definitely go back to see more friends perform!

An interesting topic that left my friends and i thinking/discussing on our way out of the theater. I'm looking forward the Workshop's next production...with the wonderful talents of these actors, writers, producers, etc. you are sure to have enjoyable experiences and first looks at productions destined for a larger marquee.
