The service tech showed up in a small SUV with a shop vac and other tools. i told him i want a negative pressure system clean...NOT a shop VAC. He said they have it and will have to come back. He came back with a system that was NOT negative pressure. Cleaned only about 50% of the ducts cause his system would not work on flex pipes. They also wanted a 50% deposit to schedule it. So I wasted $450 and will have to call another company to actually clean the ducts. waste of many run away! read more

I've heard great things and had great customer service leading up to the appointment- but maybe gas fireplaces aren't their strong suit. Like I said arranging an appointment for someone to come on and turn on my gas fireplace was easy. The admin answering phones was helpful and pleasant. Their fee was $250 to come out which I had accepted. Now the appointment is where my 2 stars come from. The kid they sent out didn't know squat about my fireplace (and well neither did I since I had just moved into the house). After him taking apart the log set going in my attic and my basement and fooling around a bit, he told me it would cost me thousands of dollars because of XYZ- including basement ceiling and walls being ripped out. Also said I needed a new log set and nothing was to code (My house was built in 98) Well come to find out after I reached someone else for a second opinion my remote setting needed to be turned off (because I was never given a remote) and then BAM we had fire. It was just a setting that had to be changed and a wire moved basically. Took him all of 15 minutes max and $120 service fee. read more

When I called to make an appointment the woman that scheduled my appointment and gathered my information was very friendly, professional and helpful - this being my first time needing these services I had many questions which she patiently answered. On the day of my appointment they arrived on time and called when approaching (as I had requested), they were friendly and very professional - They prepped the area around my fireplace/hearth so nothing would get dirty or damaged then went right to work. Made an appointment 9/28/2020 for 11/7/2020 for my chimney to be repaired, first they required an estimate to be done which is $100.00. When I booked this I was noticing some water damage inside of my home from my Chimney area, so I asked how far out for work to be done and was told a few weeks. Guy came out this past weekend; told me I'd get a QUOTE that day, never once mentioned work and estimate wouldn't be provided until March of next year which is what I was told by the office lady when I called today because I hadn't received my estimate yet. They basically said they can't provide an estimate with price changing and a new year coming, and we are booked out through March. I asked for a refund the OWNER said NO and the office lady said 'we've got so much work we don't need yours'. Please RUN, terrible customer service and business ethics I was basically ripped off for $100.00 and never even received the estimate I was promised and I needed these repairs done before the winter months! read more

Very poor business practices. Owner does not stand behind his work. 14k to rebuild a chimney and after 2 seasons the mortar is failing and bricks are chipping and now claims he "isn't in a financial position to work for free". When asked if he expects his work to last longer than 2 seasons he claimed that he expects it to but sometimes it doesn't and that the contract explicitly states no warranty. It does indeed say that, but he also said numerous times during the 2 week long project that he "stands behind his work". He does not. At all. Don't get taken by this unscrupulous contractor. Hired and paid on the spot for their level 1 service which included a sweep & visual inspection. I expected to get a general analysis of the condition of my chimney, what I got was sloppy notes & a job 3/4 done. It's been 11 days & we still haven't gotten 1/2 of the inspection report or photos we were promised. They said it would be another week which at this point I feel they are blowing me off. I am still not sure what is even wrong with my chimney because they are pushing a video inspection before they tell me. They won't explain any of the notes they left behind which didn't make any sense...& again no pictures. I wouldn't recommend this company to any of my friends or family. I get they are busy, but I paid them for work they didn't fully complete. Not acceptable. read more

Master Sweep Chimney Service came to our home for a full inspection of our chimney and fireplace. The two technicians were extremely professional and were clearly well trained. They spent considerable time checking all aspects on our fireplace both visually and with a camera. They also spent considerable time outside checking the exterior. We have a gas fireplace and they thoroughly checked all of those components too. When complete, they had a full write up of their results and then spent time explaining the whole setup. Everything checked out fine and the technicians said the initial installers did an excellent job when the house was built. Master Sweep is a company you can trust for accurate information and clearly are in the business for the long haul. They are not looking for a quick sales. Finally, the front office called a few days before to confirm appointment and the technician called on the day of the appointment to make sure the time was still good. This was the worse experience a person could have with a company. First let me add the male owner complains a lot about finding good workers to help him. He goes on and on about needing to feed his family along with other sad personal stories. Look at how old this company customers reviews are dated which should have been my first indication to run the other way. Very unprofessional, owner talked on cell phone a lot while charging me an hourly rate. I paid for service which was incomplete in order to have the owner vacant my residence.
