I'm saying screw that should have taken care of your Employees more specifically the Employee (me) who fell down a Sump Pump Vault late at night pitch black at the Apt complex they sent me. Then after going to the ER telling me they are paying the bill then afterwards firing me saying I'm making up injuries even though the Dr's say otherwise. I find out today from a email they NEVER paid the ER Bill. They are denying paying stating they are not responsible yet again I was at work on Call at Night pitch black fell into a hole and they said it's mot workplace related even though they have it on paper admitting to the fall. I have had to call master rooter at least six times this quarter to come resolve a septic issue effecting 8 units directly, the lobby and in a sense at least 400 plus residential units. Robert and Jamal specifically are THE BEST contractors I have had the pleasure to work with. They get here every time within 30 minutes and resolve the issue temporarily. They also give me confidence they can resolve the issue permanently given the chance and acceptance of a bid. I am willing to work with anybody as far as contractors go. RIP OFF COMPANY!!!! We called to have a toilet valve and fill valve replaced at our daughter's condo. Easy and quick job, right? The technician arrived around 3:30pm. He said we needed to have the flex hose replaced too, and pushed our daughter to have the entire toilet replaced. When we said we just wanted the work done that we requested, he then said he'd have to go to a hardware store to get the materials. What? You don't have these universal parts on your truck? Nope. And it'll cost an hourly rate of $315 to fetch and install. It'll be at least a two hour job he said. He said it would also cost us extra because he would be working past 4pm. What? We called and made an appointment two days prior as this job wasn't an emergency. It became increasingly clear that this technician didn't want to do this job. So instead of looking at a $1000 job that should cost perhaps a couple hundred bucks, we declined the service. He charged my daughter $315 anyway. He did no work at all. He took advantage of her, a nurse who took time off to get this job accomplished, and that is really bad business practice in my book. But that's not all. We have tried to call the manager to discuss this but she has repeatedly not returned our calls or we have been put on death hold. We've been told that she (the manager) is in a meeting. Bottom line: Choose this plumber with caution. Better yet, do the job yourself or find a company that won't rip you off. read more

It's a shame they do not have zero star ratings on here!! Look at other reviews (on Yelp as well), you will see I'm not the only unhappy customer. My drain backed up and I called Master rooter. They came out and cleared the line then recommended a scope, which we did. Upon review of the scope Master Rooter told me I needed the main sewer line replaced ($$$$$$$$$$$). I then called for a second opinion from Sewer Scope LLC. They came out and the first thing they did is scoped the line. It was already plugged back up from the day before. Daryl then brought in his "big machine" and cleaned the sewer line. We then scoped again and the line was clean. Daryl indicated that the sewer pipe was in good condition and under no conditions needed to be replaced. Their owner, Tony, called me in response to this review which he clearly didnt like. He was a completely arrogant RUDE JERK. I asked for a refund and he told me to pound sand and also threatened me asking if I wanted to "meet in person" after I expressed my distaste with him and his company. Keep talking Tony, I'll have the cops there in no time flat! Honestly don't waste your time there are honest businesses out there and THIS IS NOT ONE! BEWARE! read more

We found out yesterday that the problems we had with our main sewer line were made up by him. We had our line inspected with a camera and none of the problems he said we had were true. Had someone come out for a free quote- well thank god it was free because the guy was a total asshole!! We had just purchased this house and he continued to go on about how we should have bought a house somewhere outside of denver because we could have gotten such a nicer place for what we probably paid for our new house....SERIOUSLY?????? He said this about 4 times in the 10 minutes he was in our house. And then he said he could tell us where the leak was coming from but we would need to pay $120 for that plus $55 after hours fee. "Dispatch must have forgotten to tell you that." Really? that's the sketchiest thing i've ever heard! Not to mention that he quotes us $3500 for a $300 job! I live in an apartment complex, and my water heater had some sort of malfunction that caused it to spew like a fire hydrant. Once it got shut off (after way too long... the complex's fault, not Master Rooter's), Kevin came in early on a Sunday morning and had us hooked up to a brand new water heater before 1:00 pm. My husband and I picked Master Rooter to replace the main sewer line in our house. Master Rooter is definetly more expensive than others but they assured us they finish every job efficiently and to the customer's satisfaction and I was ok paying a lot more knowing they wouldn't destroy my lawn in the process. What actually happened was much worse than some dead grass. After installing the sewer line, they reconnected the sprinkler lines and they buried the trench they created. Within a week the trench caved in and broke our sprinler line. About two weeks went by before they showed up. When they showed up however, they came to fill the trench with more dirt, leaving my broken sprinkler line even less accesssible. A few days after that they sent a crew out to fix the sprinkler line. I met the crew outside of my house and they said they were looking over what parts needed to be bought for the sprinkler line to be fixed and that they would go to Home Depot for the parts they needed and would soon return. They left and never came back. Now as we try to get ahold of them we are having no luck from them to help us even though they give a 5 year warranty on their work and it hasn't been more than a few weeks and we have had several problems already. We might go the Better Business Bureau route but we see that they had their BBB accreditation removed last year for exactly this reason. They weren't able to complete the job to the customer's satisfaction and refused to help their own customers in good faith. Stay away from these people!!!! My husband and I are both in our 70's and we don't have the time or energy for all of this chaos. read more

Danny, from Master Rooter Plumbing, was fantastic! We would recommend him to ANYONE! I am 67-years old and a retired doctor of 36 years, 34 of which were in Colorado Springs. We have used several plumbers over the years for various needs, but Danny was the easiest and smoothest transaction yet. He was VERY knowledgeable and professional, and very efficient. The moment he entered our bathroom, he knew the brand of fixture we had, whereas the previous plumber returned 4 times and didn't know the brand even after he removed the fixture and it was stamped clearly on the part. That plumber installed our cartridge (wrong brand) upside-down twice in the 4 visits, and it still dripped after he left, so we have just lived with a dripping faucet for years...until Danny! Danny installed the proper cartridge in minutes, and when he left it did not drip!!! He also gave us tips that saved us a LOT of money. Best plumber we have ever dealt with, bar none!!! I just moved into a new condo (new to me) and the water heater seemed like it might be running poorly so I got on Home Adviser and Master Rooter called me right away, they were courteous and flexible and offered a free quote which was huge for me. It turns out my water heater is functioning just fine but also runs my furnace so it will run more often than they typical water heater. The tech explained everything to me and helped me understand how to adjust it if needed. Glad to have saved money on replacing one and even more so to have saved money having a free estimate whereas other companies would have charged upwards of $80 to just come out. Had a plumber out recently to fix a gas fireplace floor control valve. He told us it was going to be a half-day job and that it would cost us between $2,000 - $3,000 (Higher math tells us that the part is $275 and his billable rate is $681.25/hr). Last time I checked, the qualifications for being a plumber is not 8 years of a higher education and another 6-7 years of residency. The The Gas Connection fixed the valve for $400. Thanks, Gas Connection. We all appreciate an ethical business. I hope this plumber and the aforementioned company he represents is not taking advantage of less fortunate people. Still had to pay this guy a $35 service call charge. I would have paid more to expedite his departure from our home. read more

Do Not use this company. I had a leaking outdoor faucet that need to be repaired. Had this company out last fall to look at the problem. The plumber that came out capped the leaking faucet and told us to wait until next spring (2016) and call them back and the would replace the faucet. At the time the plumber estimated the cost would be $350.00 to do the repairs. So I called Master Rooter Plumbing back out a few weeks ago and now I was quoted for same job $500.00. The plumber that came out quoted a addition fee of $100 would be required to go into a crawl space under the house to do the work plus $400 standard fee for a total of $500, Master Rooter is way over priced, I was able to get the repairs done by a master plumber for $250 which is reasonable. Before calling Master Rooter Plumbing call other plumbers and get a second estimate. Thumbtack is a good resource for me finding another plumber. read more

I've had two experiences with Master Rooter- both very positive. For the first, Aaron came out to give me an estimate on a large re-plumbing project. He was very professional, offered expert advice on how to fix my problem, and even did a small repair for no charge while he was here. The price he gave me came in below what I'm seeing from the competition. So, when my sewer backed up in the basement, we immediately called Master Rooter and Frank was able to get to our house in about 45 minutes. He was quick to correct the problem, and offered us advice for how to avoid it in the future. He was so helpful and friendly. Best of all, the Saturday visit didn't cost us any extra! Called them for an intermittent smell in the basement bathroom and asked for a mainline drain cleaning and an inspection of the main vent line the one that goes on the roof. Frank ran a camera up the main vent line and also the sewer main drain line and showed and explained to me the issues found with integrity without pushing for unnecessary work and made a lot of good recommendations. This company is fantastic. I highly recommend them to anybody needing work done. We had our upstairs washer leak 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. They responded within 2 hours of our call, Kevin was great and explained what was needed next and called Deep Water Restoration. Yesterday our sump pump was having issues and Master Rooter had somebody here within 3 hours of calling. Aaron was informative and within an hour and picked up and replaced our pump. read more

Don't hire these crooks! They quoted $600 to clean my water heater, then recommended replacing the whole unit for $8,800. They ignored my request for any information about the replacement unit, cut my pipes and hauled away my existing (still functioning) unit! They returned, late, with a unit built in 2002! The manufacturer told me they would not advise installing it and replacement parts are difficult to find. Tony the owner of Master Rooter gave me $100 to go away and yelled at me(!) for requesting fair remuneration for my family's 6 nights without hot water or heat in my home while I got estimates, hired another contractor and scheduled the replacement work. read more

I knew this was going to be a pricier project than it might have been otherwise (fix a very leaky faucet) - it's an older house, and the faucets are probably original. They were able to send someone out the next afternoon to do an estimate, and Frank was friendly, polite, and honest about exactly why the estimate came in at the price it did. It was not the highest estimate we'd gotten, and he also gave us a small price break for going ahead and doing it the same day. He did a great job, and also checked around the house for any other impending plumbing crises, and even corrected a water heater vent that was a little off, at no extra charge. We had a toilet back up Sunday morning and needed the drain cleaned. The plumbing company we called first for an appointment between noon and 2 the tech called at noon and said he was all booked. And wanted to reschedule for the next day. I told him we would call another company. We called Master Rooter at noon and got a tech (Mike) to come by around 4:30. Mike Morgan was the friendliest, courteous and knowledgeable plumber my wife and I have ever had. He was great. He spent the time on cleaning our drain that the last plumber didn't. Master Rooter and Mike Morgan have earned our business for the next time. We will have him out to run a camera through the line at half the price of other plumbers on Tom Martino's site.
