After an assessment of the job by Five Star's, Adam, we received a quote detailing reasonable pricing. The job was scheduled, paint was delivered and we were informed when to expect the painter. The unrelenting heat and humidity caused us to wonder whether having a painter work (inside and outdoors) in the heat was a good idea. Scheduled to arrive at 7:00 A.M., Leroy arrived twenty minutes early to get started. From setting up for work in both areas, to finishing and cleaning up all the prep and protective covering he hung in the bathroom, Leroy completed his work carefully and efficiently. The ceiling in the bath looks wonderful. Two coats of black paint on our front doors have given the doors and our home a fresh appearance and reflect the work of a master painter. Thank you Five Star Painting for your excellent planning and communication. We look forward to calling on you in the future!

And go over the quotes very carefully. I didn't and on painting day found out what I was expecting was not what the painters had planned. They did work with me and got started. But then needed more money because they needed more paint. Shouldn't the professional know how much paint is required for the job? I spoke to another paint company who was shocked I was asked for more money after they were half way through the job. Do I have the option to say no? Not really, I need the job done. Also the communication between the scheduler and the painting team seems faulty, as I expressed clearly about fragrance allergies causing migraines yet no one seemed to care and arrived with cologne and scented clothing. So 5 star painting please fix that, a migraine is no joke. The photo attached is the "corrected" crown molding ... this wobbly line at the bottom is after I asked it to be redone and it's just getting worse because the guy added more caulk over the mess made before and immediately painted under it. Now I need to hire someone else.

He sent some guys over that wiped down the bathrooms, which made it look better for a couple of weeks and then it came back. I now have to have these rooms repainted with semi-gloss - LIKE I ASKED FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE! They did a decent job otherwise, except the paint spots in the bath tub. Our neighbors across the street saw that we used these guys and so they used them too, same results. When a painter won't use the paint that you ask for, consider it a big red flag. I don't know if they were trying to save a buck or what, but I would not recommend these guys.

I had seen his work in my neighbor's home and had her recommendation so I called him. My job was just three rooms in my house and the interior of my garage. Barry, the owner, made an appointment to meet me to give me an estimate. He arrived on time and I walked him through what I wanted done. He took notes, discussed some options with me, and got back to me timely with a detailed estimate. His prices were very reasonable and less than what I had been quoted by someone else. When we scheduled the appointment for Barry and his crew to come out and perform the work, they arrived on time, worked diligently, and did a great job. These guys have been working together for years and it shows in their final product. They completed the job on time and Barry was definitely aware of working within my budget and making sure I was pleased with their work. I also received a follow up call from him to make sure that I was satisfied after the work was completed. I will definitely be calling him back when it is time to paint the exterior of my home.

The work was originally scheduled for late April but COVID, as with most everyday life, altered the plans. Teagan, the office manager, worked diligently with us to reschedule the job to a two week timeframe late June/July. For the interior, we selected 5 colors with the assistance of a design consultant included in the contract. Drywall patching and repair was included and Zach even swapped out the front door handles/hardware for us when painting the front door. Cody and Zach were personable, friendly, and listened to our vision of what we wanted to accomplish. Additional suggestions on decorative highlight work from Cody was just icing on the cake. We especially want to give a shout out to Todd, the crew foreman. Todd stayed late to review current day work completed and plans for the next day. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and make sure the job was progressing to our satisfaction. We would enthusiastically recommend HBP For anyone looking for painting work - big and small. If you are looking for a company small enough for a personable experience but large enough to do the job, HBP is the one.

Where are good companies nowadays…read more This company was unwilling to meet after hours whenever someone is out of work, which is fine understandable So I arrange to take the day off work when I had a doctors appointment so that the company could come out and provide a quote. Since I had an appointment, they said between 10 and 11 and I said 10 AM then called the office and spoke with a female office staff and told her that I had a doctors appointment so it would have to be 10 and she agreed this would not be an issue. Then when they did not show up at 10 o'clock, I called the office and spoke to the female office staff and she said she would try to call Cody. She called me back and let me know if she could not reach Cody by phone or text. Then at almost an hour late I tried calling again and they sent me this text Completely inconsiderate, considering someone took the whole day off work and they couldn't even notify you and just no-show when they clearly made an error which things happen but to just not show up is completely appalling Edit: yes unprofessional and unpleasant from the start from your end. Especially when your office staff is trying to reach you to communicate and find out an estimated time of arrival due to your customers having other appointments and you not responding to calls or text. So instead of making it right or communicating professionally, you just decide not to show up and waste someone's time when their time is valuable until I followed up. I did not get any response from you, which speaks a lot about you as a person and a business owner.
