Great adult MMA program!…read more I was a student of the adult MMA program (only stopped because I moved to mid-town). I love the program Sinsei George runs for adults! Whether you want to get in shape, learn self defense, need a program that reduces stress or all of the above Legacy MMA is a top notch program. It doesn't matter where you are in terms of skill or getting in shape, George knows how to adjust the program to your needs. Make no mistake, however, he also knows how to push you to your absolute limit. If you're just starting out, you'll be impressed with how quickly you progress. If you're fairly confident in the shape you're in, George can challenge/humble you just as quickly! I never knew how long 60 seconds could seem until I took this class. You will get in shape faster than you think, you'll learn practical MMA (whether for self defense or for competition), you will gain confidence and you will have a blast doing it!The fees are among best I've seen in the area. Over the past couple years I've belonged to several gyms... boxing, Krav, circuit, etc... Legacy is the best all-around. George is the real deal. Before joining another martial arts or kickboxing class, you owe it to yourself to meet George and try the program for a few weeks!

He then spent the first several months working with him diligently, while making all sorts of concessions for him during group classes, due to our son's difficulty in understanding conversational speech and his general uncoordination and lack of the overall concept of punching/kicking, etc. We felt so blessed that he was willing to do this for our son! Fast forward to today... our son has progressed to a purple belt and is punching and kicking very effectively and able to do very well in many of the forms and katas that he has learned. We are blown away at what Sensei George has been able to get out of him in such a short time! We love that dojo so much, and think of George as our family. If you're looking for a phenomenal instructor that is highly experienced and has a tremendous passion for the art and a genuine love for the students he teaches, then look no further! You will not be sorry if you choose this dojo!

One child in particular knocked my two year old down twice!!! If my child were here I would be worried about their safety because they clearly are not being watched! Every day when I pick him up, he asks if he can stay longer and even wants to come on the weekends. As a parent, that excitement gives us so much peace of mind knowing he's happy and in great hands. We love that this isn't a typical after school program. He's not only learning karate, but they also make sure homework gets done. We were honestly shocked when he asked to stay longer just to finish his homework, which says a lot about the positive environment they've created. The staff are very kind, attentive, and supportive. We're so grateful we found this program and highly recommend it to other parents.

After my original review, Master Joo reached out with a very detailed explanation of the account history and provided a copy of the membership agreement that I signed. After reviewing it, I realized that I had misunderstood portions of the membership and cancellation terms. There was still some miscommunication surrounding the billing that caused my initial frustration, particularly seeing two payments processed in August. However, they explained that one was the August payment and the other was an outstanding April payment. More importantly, Master Joo went above and beyond to resolve the situation. They agreed to refund both August payments and the freeze fee, cancel the membership effective August, waive September, and ensure there would be no additional charges. I could have simply deleted my original review, but I think it's more appropriate to leave this update because businesses should receive the same public recognition when they make something right that they receive when a customer is unhappy. I appreciate Master Joo's professionalism and willingness to work with my family. Based on how this was ultimately handled, I've changed my rating to 5 stars. *******ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW****** Parents, please read the membership and cancellation terms very carefully before signing up. My son attended one class, and in early July I contacted World Champion Taekwondo to cancel his membership. When I was charged $169 afterward, I didn't dispute it because he had received a uniform and I felt that was fair. Unfortunately, the charges did not stop. I was charged again, and I have now had two charges hit my account in August. When I contacted the business, instead of addressing my concern about being charged twice in the same month, I received an explanation stating that the membership had a four-month minimum commitment, frozen months don't count toward that commitment, and there is then a 60-day cancellation notice requirement. They are now telling me September will be the final month -- meaning additional billing after I attempted to cancel in July following my son's single class. I understand that businesses have contracts and cancellation policies. My issue is the way this has been handled and the continued billing, particularly the two August charges that were not addressed in their response. In my experience, these billing and cancellation practices feel predatory and extremely consumer-unfriendly. I would strongly encourage other parents to read every provision of the membership agreement, especially the minimum commitment, freeze, automatic payment, and cancellation provisions, before providing a card. I've requested copies of the signed agreement, freeze paperwork, a complete payment history, an explanation of the two August charges, and written confirmation of exactly when the billing will stop. I'll update this review if the company resolves the duplicate charge and handles the cancellation appropriately.

My 7 year old has joined only 4 months ago and looks forward to every class. He has improved in his…read moreconfidence focus and self control. The classes are accessible to fit your schedule. It's always a happy and positive environment and even though the room can get full during sessions, the children still get the attention they need and are pushed to their limit by the masters. The masters are respectful and attentive with every child and use music, sometimes games and activities to motivate the children to do their best and have fun while in training. Bringing our child has been one of the best decisions we have made and we are really happy with the progress and are excited to see what will become of him in the near future with this excellent team!

I appreciate how he corrects a bad behavior with the kids in a way that they listen, still enjoy class, and most importantly... immediately corrects the behavior. My boys idolize him, and if they end up as adults with these qualities, I will be the happiest of parents. He is a positive male role model; something every child needs, and can never have enough of in their lives. The lessons my children are learning from their Master are worth every penny!
